Is the t.t.t.a. an air reguator?
i want to get an air regulator for my condor ss but I also want t drop the tank down bit but I think the t.t.t.a. and a regulator would be to long. so I was just wondering which one I should get. if anyone could hep me with this it would be much appreciated.

if you have 2 screwdrivers and the ability to slide an o ring on the stem then you are capable of putting an oring behind the tophat 🙂
pop out the stem and take it to home depot and test fit a few orings onto it.

I was told need a special tool to remove the top hat. Also should I pick up several o rings because i’ve seen the dimensions posted by someone but ive also heard to experiment with a few but to be honest I have no idea what the cost is gonna be. This is my first pcp airgun so I have no idea what the orings do, if the bigger the o ring makes it shoot slower or faster or if it just makes it more consistant.

i use the breech orings from my marauder,
but you could always experiment with different thicknesses.
You might want to ask/PM Doug, a.k.a. Dyotat if he can fix you up with a regulator/tank and what it would cost. He did that for my .25 Condor and the performance is outstanding. He can get the tank angled down for comfortable cheek weld. The o-ring trick can work, but it’s going to take a lot of time experimenting and won’t give you the consistent speeds a regulator can produce.
ok thanks a lot lurker I appreciate the input I thought about the o ring but I just don’t think I have the tools or the knowledge to attempt that. with my luck I would probably screw something up. and is it just a regular o ring I can buy at home depot or something? I saw the dimensions for for the o ring but I don’t think I saw where to get one.
No, it’s not a regulator but helps view thru the scope without having to have high scope rings. I love mine and it has a pretty accurate air gauge to boot.
Try adding an O-ring behind the top hat first. Lots written about its many benefits here on this web site. Increased shots per fill, more consistent FPS, etc be aware there are other improvements that are also written up on this site.
TalonTunes stuff is top notch and well worth every penny.

you need a special tool to remove the valve from the bottle.
but no special tools are needed to remove the tophat.
take 2 flat screwdrivers,
place them 180 degrees apart under the lip of the tophat,
and gently pry the tophat up.
it took longer for me to type that than it does to actually pop the top hat out..
and when you put it back in,
push it in as far as you can get it to go with your fingers,
and then dry fire it a few times to seat it the rest of the way.
