Q:

Is there a story with the Linstone Barrels?????

A long time ago in a far off place, I bought a second hand 22 Mutant with a Linstone barrel, How come every think I stick in the barrel shoots great. JSBs ,l Polymags, Piranha , H&N hollow point, and a few odd ball 22 Crossman pellets, Why does this barrel shoot so good with so many different pellets,
I was told it is not choked and that’s the reason, Not sure if I buy into that.
Now I do have CZ barrel that I bought for 200 bucks, It loves the JSB 16 gr pellets , So far that’s about it.
I know there are people with calipers, dodads, cotton ball sticks and machines that can tell me the difference between the barrels .
If I had to pick one and only one barrel , I think I would pick the Linstone , WHY. It shoots so many pellets as accurate as the CZ barrel

I just thought there would be a story with the barrels, I know Mutants were putting in other barrels that were not any good ,
Then some one came along and installed the Linstone barrels . I bought one of the guns ,. then paid 200 dollars for a CZ 22 barrel.
I am so impressed with the Linstone barrel, It shoots anything you stick in it super good, Even the cheap 22 Wal-Mart pellets ,
Just thought there would be a story behind the barrel,
I guess not.

Dam Greg,
You make everything so dam hard,
I have not heard a peep from them?
May have to be a dealer to order from them?
This should be on the Cricket Board,
Mike

.

IDK never ordered barrels before ……

But may need to tell them diameter 15 mm OD you need and minimum length.
Not sure if they know what a Cricket is even ?

Once you receive the barrel barrel plank then it needs to be sent to a machinist to cut it down to length.
Then machined out the receiver cut end, TP size and placement.

watching this thread. interested in what you find out from your email to them.

I looked at their website, but they had very little info that I could see.

Funny, I emailed the Linstone factory and ask about a 25 Cricket drop in barrel.
I would love my 25 Cricket to love any 25 pellet I stuck in it, Now that would be a super cool gun.
I have not got an answer yet,
But it if shot any think like my 22 Mutant Linstone barrel it would be bad ass.
Just looking around.

Now that is cool, I thought the barrel was Korean but was not 100% real sure, I have not found a pellet one that it does not shoot good, Oh and you do not have to clean the Linstone barrel, and I forgot the FPS , I got to start writing all this stuff down, 780 off the top of the head.
Now my CZ barrel is a little picky on the pellets . She likes the JSB 16 gr pellets.
Both are super good barrels,
Mike

I believe the Korean barrel where chokeless.
Linstone has a less pronounced chock ……..IIRC.

If you like and have a variety of pellet brands to shoot from like Polys, I’d stick with the Linstone.
My Mutant 22 Shorty seems to like 18 and 16g at 820fps and I have a bunch of them so it’s been CZ for me, for now anyway it’s an easy swap out.
