Is there an Insert to fit inside Talon SS Shroud?
Does anyone make an insert that will fit inside the Talon shroud. Maybe something that works better then a stack of washers & O-rings? If not someone should make some sort of baffle that will drop right in. Is there any benefit to drilling holes in the baffle, if so where at? would love to see pictures.

Those designs absolutely tame the bark but I’ve been searching for more too. I toyed with shortening the barrel and using the insert to also replace the front bushing (I’m not shooting high power or long distance with this one) I am VERY SLOWLY getting specs together for an insert that someone has agreed to make for me. It’ll be a closed tube insert with the barrel end open to work with a vented bushing and the front will look like a Condor ‘end cap’ but a little longer. I will have nothing to do with selling these, just want to try my idea before I share it.

I used the O rings and found the same trouble you guys are talking about, filling too much space, then I made spacers out of copper pumbing unions, you have to cut them to length, and made 1/2 inch or so chambers, I only use the orings at the very end to get correct spacing for the end cap,
I also drilled many holes in my first baffle/washer to really confuse and misdirect the air.
Then of course like Sub says I drilled the bushing and the frame under the forearm.
When I was using the Condor with the airhog LDC this year for depredadation work, although the Condor had a Talon valve and is quiet, when I would switch to the SS, the first shot I always thought had to be a dud, it is that quiet.

If I were you I would stick with the washers and o-rings since you already have them and just vent your front bushing and port the frame under your forgrip …the biggest hold up on just a drop in baffle for the tss is that you’re still limited by the space inside the frame for the expanding air to fill…which is why when I am asked to really quiet down a tss I still add a 4″ LDC to the front of the gun for true mouse fart quiet….but that’s just my opinion…Greg
The problem with an internal baffle stack is you have 6″ of volume that gets reduced with your stack solution. So you can reduce the noise but not to “wisper quiet”
What you need is further expansion in the form of a frame extender. There are several who make them. I’ve heard good things about Talon Tunes.
