is there any way to use the talonp valve with a reg’d tank?
hi, new guy here,but not new to pcp airguns.
i have a question that i cant find an answer to using the search
i know the my talonp valve will fit the 22ci bottle im going to pick up,
but is there a way to couple the talonp valve to a regulated (2000psi) paintball tank?
i know the co2 adapter would work,
but it would give reduced velocities due to the fact that it has a condor valve with a lighter spring,
instead of the direct flow valve of the talonp.
anyone?

i had thought about going to a local machine shop and having something made,
i was going to see if they could make me something like the co2 adapter,
but it would fit the talonp direct flow valve,
and have a larger air chamber between the reg and the valve.
and just hope it dont cost me my left testicle LOL
What length barrel?
I get 950’s with 1800 psi but with large regged chamber.
I have an 1850 regged tank and don’t even get 600fps, 575 to be exact with the JSB kings.
The talon p valve might only give you 10-15 fps more at full power. You won’t even notice it with a reg.
The problem with the reg setup is there isn’t enough air after the reg for it to work right so you have to raise the psi to compensate.
2000 psi reg is not going to give you much.
already spoke with john at jds.
and while he didnt have a solution for me to be able to use the talonp direct flow valve in the co2 adapter,
he did suggest drilling out the adapter so more air can get to the valve thats already in it,
im just wondering how much velocity i would lose using the valve that comes in the co2 adapter?
while im not a speed freak as accuracy is my first priority before power,
i would still hate to have it drop down under 800fps when shooting jsb kings.
ill probably have to talk to a machine shop if i want to use the direct flow valve with a reg.
With a reg it is not going to matter what valve you use. Just run a CO2 adapter.
JDS Airman, maybe able to fix you up with the Etac-reg, or marmot militia, try google that.
