Drop a mushroom into the tank. It might not actually do anything tho, so be cautious.

Thanks for that info, that is defiantly good to know! but h/depot doesn’t sell stihl and that’s all I own when it comes to mw chain saws…

dose h/depot do this for anything else, or is it just saws?

4 almost Everything. Also there price is our price. If you see it cheaper at another store we will sell it for 10% less.

If you go to the home depot, look for a certain model. If they are out of stock of that model, THD will sell you the next model up at the lower model price. It might take a few trips but worth the extra cash in pocket.

Page 39 in the manual for adjusting your carb. Looks like they dont have a Hi adjustment, just an air mixture (LD) and Idle adjustment (L) so that doesnt help too much.

I took a look at that this morning… funny how all I have is an Idle adjust….

I’m trying my damnedest to save for a 205, but at $650 the 192 is looking better and better… I would just hate to settle for less than what I want tho

thanks Y.. I took it all apart again today and it looks like the pump side diaphragm was leaking a bit… it is one of the “home owners” model with out the adjustable jets but I did blow the carb out, got a little rig job going on the diaphragm, all back together and she seams to be running fine now…but it will probably start acting up on me wile I’m in a tree, so I ordered up a rebuild kit for the carb. I just hope it gets here Fast as I really don’t want to have to climb with my 460…

what’s this sea foam???? and were would I find it?

Make sure the kickback brake isnt on….

Run some fresh gas through it with seafoam additive and let it idle.

If its an adjustable carb try opening your hi jet a little (if its adjustable it will have two screws near each other, one marked L another marked H, you want to turn the H counter clockwise to lean it out).

Perhaps a blocked jet in the carb. Unfortunately they have diaphrams rather than bowls so its a pain in the balls to take them apart (compared to a bowl) and access the jets – If thats it, hopefully seafoam will clear it out.

It could be a bunch of other things… or just be old and worn out and need to warm up a while.
