Is this rifle..
worth buying stock? or does it need a ton of tuning to make it better?
ive got the money for it, so just wondering if it’s worth it.

From what I’ve read the e-tac adds 1.6 to 2.6 inches to the length of pull.
If you don’t have a scuba tank to fill from with a quick disconnect you can get the removable model that adds the 2.6 inches. Regarding the easily removable e-tac:
“Yes, it will get longer by about 1″, bringing the total addition to length-of-pull to 2.6-inches.”
I found the AF rifle difficult for me to shoulder and see through the scope at first. I can’t lay my head over to the side that much. Square shoulders, thick neck, large head, and old age all play a part in it. The Wokbutt provided a great improvement for me.
I understand that the e-tac has many models including straight, drooped, and canted. I would think that the drooped or canted versions might compensate for some of the 1.6 or 2.6 inch extra length. I hear that the Wokbutt works well with those. I’d say get the Wokbutt sooner.
For myself, if I had a scuba with quick connect I’d consider the e-tac droop or canted version. But I’d like to hear from a couple hunters using the canted version as to if the side angle slows target acquisition.
It has been said that using the AF screw on pump adapter can cause the valve seat to be off for the first shot or so. Some overfill a little and take a shot or so with or without a pellet to settle the valve. So, it seems the e-tac or other tank mounted quick disconnect fill nozzle would eliminate that problem. E-tac appears to answer several problem issues.

As far as the E-TaC and target acquisition… I have AF guns with E-TaCs and WOKBUTs. The difference in ergonomics and sight picture is very noticeable. I dont find the extra legnth to be of issue and I’m not a ‘big’ guy at 6ft.
Yes, I hunt with my AF guns… the cant and droop only helps with target acquisition.

Unless you are a really big fellow with long arms I’d suggest the strap on version. The e-tac does add more length to the stock reach.
Lurker please elaborate on that. I have short arms and anything that increases LOP concerns me but I still want a WOK-BUTT some day. To the OP if you like to tinker, buy one stock. If you want one that doesn’t need anything done to it, call Tony and buy from him.
Get the Wokbutt sooner than later. It makes the biggest improvement of all the extras you could buy.

If you’re planning to put up new AF Condor .177 or .22 cal, all you need is a shroud.
But if you want to put up a .25 cal, you will need .25 cal barrel, shroud, heavy hammer and may stronger spring, in most case, you can use the stock spring. speaking of the valve, if you get second gen valve, that will take care of it. I am using the stock AF valve second gen, I shoot the Kodiak or H&N 31 grain @ 1060-1100 FPS on a 24″ barrel.
If you want more shot per fill, then get bigger air tank later.

The 50 dollar one you are thinking of is the frame extender. It’s a shroud without the fancy baffles and such inside. It works, just not as well. If you simply need it quieter, that will do. If you need it to sound like a tick farting, get an airhog or one of tony’s.

If you get a Strap On Wokbutt then you can adjust LOP by simple position of it on tank.
For a Standard Wokbutt you can eliminate the spacer and make it a total of 1/2″ thick.
