And, when re-inserting the valve pin keep it pointed in a safe direction just in case.
Here’s how I remove my valve stem:
Gear Head you can pry out your tophat without any problems, I know it sounds a bit scarey but with a full tank it is not a problem at all, get a couple of nice prying tools I used a couple peices of nylon to keep from maring up the metal parts. Anyway pry it out and you can pull it right out, what you are doing is you are only taking out the top hat stem the delrin seal is still in the bottom of the valve and keeps everything sealed! when you get done doing what you want to your top hat push it back in with a piece of wood or something that won’t harm your top hat, Also you can use a wood or metal rod that fits inside of the top hat hole! when you have it pushed in as far as it will go and you can do this until a bit of air comes out then stop! dry fire the gun several times and the top hat will seat itself back to its original depth! After you have done this a couple times you will understand what is going on, basically you are pulling out your top hat from the valve assembly and delrin seat air pressure 2500 to 3000 psi whatever you bottle is filled to pushes against the delrin seal and stays put!
Well then, I polished my extra valve pins so these measurements aren’t true stock.
Length (with out top hat): either 1.402″ or 1.393″ if you don’t count the tiny tit on the back end.
Width (Polished): 0.249″
Thanks but I know that already . I was trying to avoid that hasle u know I figure someonea got to,have one lying around . If after a few day ill just quite be lazy and pull it out again and drain the tank

Some use a screw driver to pry under the top hat to get the valve stem out. But…I believe the early Talons and maybe UK Stealth had a valve stem that has to go out the other way. If that’s the case the top hat would screw off forward. The current valve won’t let the top hat come off forward.
It can be a scary thing trying to pull the valve stem from a pressurized tank. If you bleed it off to empty the tank first, the valve pin/top hat can easily be pushed down into the brass valve guide.
My Condor valve stem retainer brass thread is 1/2′ x 20tpi (same as spring retainer thread tpi)

Thanks all but like I said mine leaks out the air for some reason . I yanked the s.o.b out and pssssssssss lol oh well . and sences iv had time I made another valve out of 303 stanless. Not tested yet still need to make a brass insert. I had it then my lathe or I messed up on threading at the very end figurs lol (it an old 101 series craftsman 12″swing ) it a good little machine thou . iv made lot of one off parts for my talon ss (MORE POWER thats what the doc orderd). But yeah I ported out my stock valve to 3.55 mm. iv read red 3.2 was max but oh well lol ill make a new one sence cool people give me the right spec for stuff thanks all. Anyone ever need help let me know
