jacketed pellets?
does anyone make a jacketed pellet? in like .221 size i like the looks of a jacketed bullet with a lot less mess from lead as well as less lead handling
or what about a pellet like .199 with a plastic jacket over it?

I tried shooting them for a while( about ten years ago funny enough!) and apart from shooting crap an slow, the barrel needed a good clean out after each session.
plastic does more than that….it gets shredded in the rifling leaving strips of plastic gunk in your barrel….the faster your shooting the more gunk
the reason the pellets want to stop mid flight is because of their weight is so low….prometheus also makes some 14 grain pellet in .22, well they did 10 years ago, i still have some in my pellet box i think
the new golden kodiak has been electro plated with copper…other than cut down on contact with lead the shooter has i dont see any benefits….but then again if your out hunting/camping and dont have a place to wash your hands i can see the benefit, but as with all lead producs even this coating does not guarantee you dont have lead on your fingers…if one is concerned about lead…theres wipes sold that will clean your hand of lead without water they are called D-Lead towels from ESCA TECH, INC
Plastic jackets on a pellet is rubbish. The massive drag the plastic jacket creates means the second it leaves the barrel it wants to stop!!
Prometheus do some nice ones in stock .177 and .22
They make the Kodiak in a copper clad. Should work fine.

this is a good point bought a 80lb ranger but found out its a .223 barrel not the standared .22 one having probs getting pellets two suite eny one help with this aswell
