Jim Chapman’s review of MROD Pistol
Thought the barrel was going to be 12″ but it will be only 8″ and about 11″ or so including the shroud. Link to a review from Jim Chapman is below. I cancelled my longstanding order at PA based on Jim’s review. I’ll wait for a modded multi-shot pcp pistol sometime in the future.
What do you think?

When the M-rod 22cal first came out at Crossman, I got #18 of that batch. It’s up on the wall now. This release of the M-rod pistol was done much the same, except you had a code last time. I hope mine is a low number. Let you know come Monday or Tuesday

Your not going to get it thru Crosman anytime soon, their big hype was for I think 75 pistols, almost as bad as a Walmart/Bestbuy Black Friday type sale whens they only have 4 TV’s and crowds wait in line all night.

I was told all 75 was sold in less than 30 minutes is that right?
Quackenbush guns that he sells on his site are hard to get, but in Auction arms I saw one and it sold for double what Dennis gets for one.
Well It says the new Maord will be a collecters item if they get one in the first 100 made. I’d say If I was lucky enought to get one I’d just leave it in the origional packaging Postal box and all, for about 10 years and then put it up for grabs. A virgin Marod Pistol in the box 10 years from now? That would be interesting, especially if the number is “say” (1)?
Shucks I’d have to open it 😀 and shoot it 😀 . All I can say is go for it and lets see what happenens.
You all give us some shot groups. 😀 I canceled mine even on PA.

I bet sound was a consideration. 8″ barrel in an 11″ frame would make sense. We get enough noise from an SS and that has 6″ of volume before the cap.
Can’t wait for real reviews.

I think something it ain’t right!
Midway says the pistols OAL is 12″….
Crossman says its 18″OAL. Chapman says its 18″ OAL.
The Crosman web site description says:
“Crosman Airguns, Marauder PCP Air Pistol
The newly improved trigger on the Marauder pistol is accomplished by … The Marauder PCP Pistol features a self-indexing, 8-shot clip and a 12-inch choked barrel…”

Chapman’s review says the barrel is 8″ long. However, Crosman’s web site says in its description: “Marauder PCP Pistol features a self-indexing, 8-shot clip and a 12-inch choked and shrouded barrel (scope not included). Overall length of the pistol is 18-inches (pistol grip configuration)
Observing the Crossman site videos, there is no way that pistol is 12″ long, and I have grave doubts that barrel is 8″ long.
Very confusing….but I’d stick with Crosman’s description as being accurate. 18″ pistol, with a 12″ shrouded, choked barrel.
Not one bit dumber than I look….
Hoot 😯
PS: AND FURTHERMORE….if the Talon SS has a 12″ barrel and a 3K psi charge, who says the Crosman is limited to 700 fps, or 12 fpe? If the Talon can beat it, the Crosman should be able to beat the posted specs too! May take a bit of “forum magic” but I bet this rascal can be tweaked up quite a bit.
I think I’ll wait until folks who are not paid to write review it….
I think I’ll cancel mine and order me a target triger mecanism for my 1022.
But I want to pay for it and take it home not order something that was delayed 47 times already. This is getting old, next month well maybe in a few months well how about next year? wtf
That’s a great price: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=131188
Midway has a deal on them right now if you buy before the 25 th you can get one for 345.00.
11-14 fpe… I hate to say it… but for 1/2 the value and no PCP equipment you can get a spring/gas rifle with the same energy.
I like the idea of a hunting pistol repeater but I’m on the fence for now.
Wonder if the power is adjustable.. hmm..
Either way going to have to check this out. It’s this or the Webley Alecto
Shoot 50 shots, dime size accuracy at 20 yards rested.. what’s not to like?
Too bad it keeps getting delayed.. will have to give this one a try when it comes out..
so dont use PA
go through crosman as of friday they are for sale

What would be a good scope to put on this pistol?
