Q:

Jim Shelden compressor

I got to use my compressor, Filled my tank from 3800 to 4300 had to cut it short as some other things came up,,,
I will time the unit next time I use it, I am also installing a clip board near the unit so I can record the times and hours its in use.
With the time change and the Marauder project , I will be using more air, Right now my Great white tank last me a month.

Works great. It has a manual bleed valve at the bottom. The tank is big though, if you don’t get a valve shut and have to pressure the dryer tank up when you fill up a tank it can take 10 min to fill them both up again.

How well is the air dryer /separator working for you?
Thanks

Nope, don’t fill them directly. I had some tank dumps on my 257 when I was tweaking the valve. I was filling it with the pump and looked away a little too long and blew out my burst disk.

Yes that is. Don’t try to fill the guns directly. 😯

Wow that’s fast. That’s fast than a ten dollar whore…..

I got my 4.2 cfm compressor in yesterday. I cant believe how fast it goes! 4 minutes!! I said FOUR minutes from 3000-4500!! That’s on a 88cuft scba tank.

I have shot my guns less than I have since I got them, Live kind of got in the way this last couple of weeks, But its slowly getting back to normal , I have even seen a few starlings around , Not at the bird feeders just on the telephone poles and far off trees?
Looking good.
I do wished mine came with an auto shut off at 4500 psi, But I always have a lot of stuff to do in the shop for 30 minutes.

How is that compressor running? I just ran my Omega and topped off a tank. I sure waste a lot more air with that around. 😯

LOL, I just order from Adam& Eve, Lots of cool stuff,

Its not that messy , Its not that loud, My sense of smell is very good a lot better than most due to my asthma its not smelly! It is a shop compressor and its not something you would put in your office.
Its a huge learning experience for me, AS I learn more I will post more, Just trying to help out anyone thinking of taking the big leap. Mine is wired up to a 220 volt plug, with two 30 amp breakers ,
The compressor is 24 X 18 X 16 and weighs about 90 pounds.
This is not something you can put inside the house because the water/oil mixture must be drained from the moisture trap every 30 minutes, and it is messy and smelly. While you can talk over the compressor running noise it would certainly be a big distraction inside a house. Also I don’t know of any house outlet that can handle 23 amps on 115 volts. This will require a dedicated circuit for 115 volts like a large window air conditioner , clothes dryer, or cooking range. This is a piece of commercial equipment, Not a house toy. It should go in a garage and you will still need a new electrical line unless you have a heavy duty electrical line in the garage.
Jim sends lots of pictures , all you have to do is look at the pictures, Or you could read all about it. Your choice
