Q:

John Hagan Mutant end cap adapter.

The baby is quiet already but if you want super dupper quiet which is needed for sneaky sneaks and folks who have irritable neighbors then John Hagan has your fix. The new and improved unit comes with a Black Derlin cap. As with everything Hagan Tool makes it’s a thing of art. All you need do is remove the OEM end cap and screw on Johns. Oh yes don’t forget the LDC. This unit also works with Standard Mutant’s. Thanks John!

Dman, are you still making these end cap adapters? I want to buy one. Sent you a PM a while back, not sure if you got it or not… Thanks

That C-clip/snap ring is waaay in there, too.

No big deal for now. But when I get to the point where I’d like to clean the baffles, I’d play hell getting it apart.

The std and the shorty shrouds are a little different in design….

The std is more like a shroud… and the hole thing screws on the barrel and overlaps app 3 or 4 inches Roughly.

The shorty is just an end piece more like an ldc.

That set screw on the std. Is only there to stop the shroud from spinning off.

By design the baffles are all sandwiched between a C clip and the encap so if he doesn’t hold the shroud itself it will just spin… the reason it is so tight is so that one can tighten the shroud onto the barrel firmly.

Tried that. The entire moderator wants to spin around the barrel. And I don’t want to stress that single set screw holding it in place.

Use vice grip pliers. Let the leverage advantage do the work. I had the same problem Terr.

Make sure the pins are seated and swing the wrench at a constant 90 degree rotational angle respective to the adapter. K

Your photos are fine, Gabe. That delrin looks cool.

I tried removing the stock end cap from my Standard with the tools provided. That sucker is on tight. Super tight. Yikes…

Sorry for the crappy pics..

My phone camera seems to always focus on my atlas bipod for some reason :winkn:

Meech! niiiiiiice!

Got the new Hagan piece. Delrin thread protector matches fill port cover finish.
