Q:

JSB .25 Mark II Heavy’s

Thinking of trying these and wondering how they fit the Vulcan magazine and what speeds are being obtained if they do… ❓

To get that fat pellet into a proper rotation you need to get it to at least 270 mps and for that you need a full length rifle with excess power – like the DS Air Ranger. Waste of money for BP´s. A friend tried them in his .25 Cricket and quickly went back to the plain King´s again.
Another barrel with faster rifling would do the trick too.

deez nut , for me 40 yds. to 50 yds. shooting Cudas 28.40 gr. pellets up to the JSB Heavy 33.5 gr. pellets in .25 caliber with my Vulcan will do the
kills just fine . I have shot the predator polymag pellets and speaking only for myself I really do not like them , so I will not use them . However ,
like I said they just don’t work for me , but they may be a good choice for you so try them out and see for yourself .

Key ur def right on King is better at distance for sure

Appreciate the replies….. i’m regularly shooting out to 90-100 yards on Crows. The Kings shoot very well for me at about 930 fps. I do have a Hosp area at around 60 yards where I’m thinking the Heavy’s would have a tighter group to buck the wind on those high lines. Small target…. 😆

FM, I routinely shoot 150 plus yards, if I were killing things at 40-50 plus yards I would use the predator polymag.

Idk Key..my Vulcan definitely shoots the Heavies better 1 clean hole out to 40 if I’m locked in a the sled. Agreed speed is lost mine fly at 815 fps avg.. and hit hard. I switched from King 25.4s due to the accuracy and energy retention @50+yd.. I drag it with Bow hunting Whitetail here in Western Wisconsin for the occasional Fox and Coyote that wander by the blind. I have considered cranking the heat up on em a bit but afraid to start adjustments as she’s still factory. The original and MKII Heavies shoot identically in mine and other function perfectly in the mags as well. :2cents:

Don’t waste your money. They are extremely hard to advance into the chamber and they push the pellet about 760 fps. I don’t see the advantage of these unless you speed them up. My Vulcan was already maxed out at around 925 with the kings. The heavies won’t give you anything more except increased holdover.
