JSB Pellets make the best .30cal big bore ammo..
I raided my pellet trap and recovered about a tin and a half full of spent JSB pellets.. 😀
there were a few predators and H&Ns mixed in for good measure..
I added them to the last batch of jsb lead and spent an hour or so casting some premium Big Bore 30cal PCP 100gr HP bullets
Just enough for another plinking session.. :8:

I do have plenty of .30cal P/Bs but no these are for a PCP.
A friend of mine builds Big bore PCPs and has loaned me one of his to play with and work out what I want from the one I am currently building from scratch.
I will probably fit mine it in my Air Arms bullpup stock as that rifle never gets used..
I know I was just yanking his chain…

I collect all the lead from my pellet traps too. I use them for making new pellet traps. If you melt the lead into an old frying pan or the like and make like a 0,5 ” thick “pancake” you’ll have a beautiful pellettrap from the old lead. Just hang the “pancake” (or indeed the frying pan itself) up where you want it and start shooting. Hardly any sound from the new pellets hitting, and mostly they sink into the lead already there. Meaning no or very little lead dust flying around….

Very pretty. It’s great you’re doing some recycling. What kind of trap are you using, Wing?
Y’know, “plinking” just does not sound right for slugs that big 😛 Maybe thwacking, pummeling, pounding or battering!
