Just an FYI and thank you
Well if everyone here already didnt know I just want to say this is the best AF sight on the web and AF should be kicking the forum mods some cash.
I have only owned my Condor SS for a few months and done a small amount of work on it. Last night I was doing some more and I took off the trigger guard and grip. Then all the sudden I have a bunch of springs and pieces everywhere. I said well time to go see the Talon guys for a drawing to make sure all this stuff goes back in the right places.
After a minute of searching found what I needed and reassembled.
Anyway thanks for the great site!!!
Oh and another thing. I really like AF rifles but some of the stuff is really damn cheap on them. I am guessing they do that to make a price point but my goodness. Some of it is pretty shitty. Thank God for all the guys on here who make after market pieces and parts….

Only complaint I have is the trigger components. Well that and the too much metal removed in the breach area causing flex.
900 lumens? Seems to me if you shoot the critter front to back you should be able to kill it- gut it- and grill it in one easy trigger pull! 😈

The power and long range goodness is what keeps me happy and allows me to overlook AF ‘s dreadful QC on some things.
Plus , with all the fine folks on here with their info and engineering abilities we come up with some great fixes / improvements to this platform. Ulitmatley thats what these guns are, a great platform to start with.
I love my Condor and recently discoverd the joys of crawiling around the rocky hills at night with her in search of jacks and coons. Did it all weekend, god it was fun. I was supposed to deer hunt (opening weekend for archery). Around midnight Friday a few of the fellas and I jumped on our atvs to go, cough…cough…. “scout the deer” for the next mornings hunt. I brought my condor along and ended up getting more than a few jacks. It was a blast! I’ll be doing that alot more.

I second what WOK said. My 24″ condor .22 was dead accurate out of the box. I can shoot 1/4″ groups all day @ 30 yards. Get many “hole in holes” as well. I’m just glad my “first time” was good for me. I really love everything about these black rifles that you just don’t get from Euro models.

I am just mearly commenting on some the parts on it. The trigger guard looks like I made it in 5th grade. I think the forestock and grip are fairly crappy.
As far as internal mods I dont need any but I am sure going to mod it up to get as much power as I can…hehe

Some of you guys must have bad luck.
My airforce rifle has been fine from day one. I just replaced the shoulder piece, trigger guard and grip for better ones. That is not uncommon on many guns.
The price point for entry is low and the ability to upgrade is high.
I have high end euro guns and I shoot my Talon just a much sometimes more because it is far tougher in the field my fancy pants airguns 😛
I’ve noticed that too. i was thinking the other day about this. To be honest they really are pretty crappy rifles off the shelf. By the time you cough up the dough to customize it and work out all the problems you might as well have purchased a Euro PCP bottle gun that comes with all the goodies.
Their accesories are all made in China with horrid QC.
To me, its the raw power and very silent (with proper mod) firing that keeps me happy. To that end I am converting my .22 cal to a larger bore and will be using it only for hunting as it does indeed make a great hunter. I’m Adding a high power tactical flashlight to it so I can kill Jacks at night.
I had two kills last weekend at my ranch outside SA that where over 140 yards. We have tons of these “city” pigeons flying around. I saw two of them on a power line , about 140 yards from my porch. My gun is sighted in for 28.5 eugins at 50yrds. I put the very bottom of the verticle recticle on the first pigeon and dropped him like a rock. His buddy didnt know what was going on and proceeded to get thwacked with the follow up. i dont know of many euro bottle guns you can do that with.
