Just bought a Maurader
Ordered it today from Greg Davis. He is going to tune it and put a LW barrel on it. He says that “typical speeds are 960-990 in 18 and only slightly less in 21 Kodiak”. He also says that “My favorite target is these damned pigeons, I have them on a billboard sign that’s a lazered 102 yards, With 18 grain JSB’s eyeball shots are common at that range”.
Super guy to talk to and deal with, also a fellow pigeon hater! 😆 He told me that he has over 200 air guns and that the modified Marauder with the LW barrel is his favorite gun to shoot.
Now I have a 5-6 week wait. I only had to wait 3 weeks for the Edgun. At least I will still have it to shoot.

my .22 Marauder (shipped one off the Greg) just got finished this week but were waiting till after the holidays to ship it.
i cant wait to get it back, but shipping right now is nuts.
i had him do the “blue print + LW barrel” too.
those FPS’s are higher than he quoted me, (almost 3 months ago) he musta found a few more tweaks in the valve 😀
got a M. Abernethy thumb-hole stock just waiting.
any advice on stock finishing would be great

It would certainly be nice if you could go from 22 to 25 in the Edgun without a mayor disassembly/assembly procedure.
Tony told me they were not going to sell the Edgun in 25 cal in the US now (I hope maybe later???) I love 25 cal rifles ❗ ❗
Oldgoat, that’s interesting. I spoke to him last week regarding the Marauders .22 and .25 and also mentioned the Edgun trying to get a response from him but didn’t get any. If he did work on a few, I think he would have some comments about the Edguns. Hmm…
I am not sure why you need to send your EDgun out for tuning, this gun already good as it is, no need addiitonal tunes and can’t get it any better than the way it is. This is the reason why everyone else has purchased EDgun.

Picudo, I didn’t get all of the details from him. I know that he does some work on the lead in and crown of the barrel. He also adjusts the regulator. I sent him an email asking him if he has tuned an Edgun. He said that he has done a few and that it is a “very responsive gun to tune”.
I just ordered the Marauder so I can have something to shoot while he has my Edgun.
I told him that I was also going to order a long version Edgun, he said that he could put a long barrel on my standard. There is nothing wrong with my Edgun, in fact it shoots great, I am just wondering how a tune will improve it.
When/If I send the long Edgun to him, I will ask if he could set it up with an extra barrel in .25 cal. It would be sweet to be able to go back and forth .22 to .25. I don’t know if that can be done without buying another breech assembly and having one for .22 and one for .25.
What is Greg going to do to your Edgun? Any interesting MODS?
When I get the Marauder, I will shoot it side by side with the Edgun, at the local gun shop. They have an UNDERGROUND 50 yard range. Should be interesting.
When I get the Edgun back from Greg, I will also do another underground compairson between the two.
Tachdriver, I don’t know what he would charge for that. I have been thinking about ordering the same thing myself. I just wanted a gun to shoot while he had my Edgun.
A Maurader set up with a .22 and a .25 would be kick ass!

Should be nice, the gun is accurate enough without the lo barrel in my opinion. Hit soda can @ 80 yards no problem! My gun likes JSB and premier pellets.

No, I haven’t shot a Marauder before. I knew I was going to send my Edgun to Greg and was looking to buy a gun, to keep the local vermin in check, while the Edgun was gone. The only other pcp that I have is a Condor. I haven’t shot the Condor 20 shots since I got the Edgun, the thrill is gone after shooting the Edgun.
I put a post on the yellow forum asking for preferences between the Greg Davis tuned Marauder, BSA Sportman HV and the AA410. Got a few replies on the Greg Davis tuned Marauder. One of them was Greg. We sent a couple of emails back and forth and I ordered one on Fri.
I ordered the Marauder in .22, I now can’t decide if I want the Marauder in .25 or to wait and have him make the long Edgun a .25.
Damn, this airgun shit is getting out of hand! I KNEW that I was done buying airguns when I got the (first) Edgun!
