Just got a Condor SS .22
I just got myself a Condor SS .22. after seeing one at the SHOT show. The Airoforce PDF if I recall says only use lead pellets or you violate the warranty. Does that hold true? Can I not use copper? I guess a better question is, do I want to use copper? Recommended weight for either that will be doing hunting and target shooting?

Just found a loop hole for us pellet slingers….. It states its for “Firearms” so pellet gun will not apply …. I’m still screwed for my firearms tho…

I am in cali also. Down just west of san diego. Not sure about a tank. I am using a hill pump to fill mine.
As far as mods, shoot it and figure out what you want to do. I have 2 cf tanks from talon tunes one for power and one with a regulator for all day low power shooting.
Probably one of the best parts is a tank cover to make it more like a rifle or the tt quick change tophat. With the top hat you can can change out the inserts and within about a minute change the power of the gun.
But first like i said shoot the piss out of it, get a feel for her then figure out what you want to do. Thats a really cool part of these guns, so many options!

What parts am I going to want to customize? I have stock package (scope) at the moment. I guess a bipod wouldn’t be a bad idea. Trying to figure out a carbon fiber tank solution, leaning towards a Benjamin at the moment. I am in the communist state of California so I was looking at non-lead in a sort of head off any over zealous environmentalism concerns. I have the dream of doing some Turkey hunting one day which from what I’ve read is a head shot solution, I’ll try your 25.4 JSB out. Pellet cost isn’t a concern. I’m used to buying powder gun ammo.
Congrats on the new shooter! For pellets I use JSB 25.4 gr 90% of the time when I want to smack squirrels, gophers or targets. EJ 32 gr when I want to hit them a little harder.
The only alloy or metal pellets I have used are just way to light, inaccurate, and not efficient at all. Yes they go really fast and can poke holes in stuff cause they are hard but I don’t recommend them.
For bigger critters up to yotes or when I just want a good laugh on squirrels I go with custom made 45 gr slugs.
As for the warranty, ba hum bug. You will start ordering parts for it soon enough that will void the hell out of your warranty. I say don’t even sweat that part unless you know you will be leaving it bone stock.
