Q:

Just got a Jim Shelden compressor

Does anyone else got one here? I would of tried it out, but got scared, cause of the recent events of people getting hurt from high pressure. I called Jim great guy and very helpful, reassured me his is not going to blow up, and walked me threw the operation, which I was really needing, says I should just start it up and get used to it, don’t fill, just run her and get used to its operation. I was pretty relaxed, after talking with him, these compressors are the cats meow, military issue, efficient enough to run in extreme temperatures, I am glad now, I have chosen one of these, Kidde 4.2.

There was a topic over on Yellow, 2nd page 1/2 way down, topic header.. it could of been real bad, anyways the guy had a Nuvair compressor and it shot the pressure cylinder out of the cage and popped a ear drum, in his right ear, he’s expected to recover. Well I just started it up and watched the guage go from 4000psi-4500psi and up and down a few times and shut it down, so I guess it works. Not scared anymore, figure if a tank explodes on me in my little shed, I’ll be a goner, got a chain system if I blow a pressure disc, so the tank can’t fly around.

What people hurt???

I have had a 2.4 kiddie for a while. I should sell it and get a 4.2. Works great. Couldn’t have better service from Jim.
