I´m not sure i know what you mean with your HW .. ??
My word of advice to everyone is to resist the urge to show your new rifles to your wifes/gf´s. They aren´t interrested anyways and then they don´t know how those guns look like, closely. Then it´s easy to just use the frase ” this old piece ?? I´ve had it for a long time. If you´d just show a modicum of interrest towards my hobby you´d known that”.
Yeah, she will…I plan on getting the synthetic mod.
Tell you something else…I never saw the bucks of the HW97K that I sold while I was abroad… :3:

Now, make absolutely sure you make two (2) of those. Atleast. I want one! I have one of Imppu’s with a little modification (a delrin guide/sleeve) on it and it works very well.
Sent from a Tab my wife lured me to buy … If your Aunt has a pair of hairy balls does that make “her” your Uncle ?
Inner guide & tophat of delrin is how I’m going to do it…should also benefit from the rotational friction of the spring as in most springers, I would think?

Never thought of it from that angle ! It makes sense. What about a delrin inner guide?

Restricting the side to side movement of the HST will impart friction on the spring itself and reduce it’s ability to actually work.
This is ALREADY done by the hole the spring is housed in and if you make a rod for it to ride on down the middle of the spring you will only be adding friction to the system. It will also wear down the spring and change it’s performance characteristics…
The only real benefit from these adjusters is their ability to fine tune the HST without a tool. 😉
Thanks Sir Ville…you the man :8:
Thanks
Jack
I remembered correctly this time. It´s indeed M14x1.
Any discount for TAG members! 😆 😆 😆 great stuff btw!
I´ll measure it but i´f i´m not totally mistaking and my memory serves me correct it´s M14 x 1.
Can anyone tell me the thread/pitch/dia. of the HST for the Cricket…?
Thanks
Jack

If the guide rod keeps the spring from bending the spring doesn’t touch the outer part of the hole it’s in. So it’s really not adding any more friction. The rod guide has less contact area for sure.
