Q:

Kalibr Cricket FAC hammer spring?

I am looking for a FAC hammer spring for a .22 Cricket. I have the low power spring in it now and have maxed out the adjustment at 855 fps with 18.1 JSBs. I only want to go up to about 870 fps, but would like to have some adjustment in reserve. Where can I find one? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. The spring that was defective is a dull grey/brown, .375″ OD, .050′ Wire, 17 or 18 coils. It is only 1.7″ long, and this is where my problem lies. This was sent to me in a brand new Cricket Mini Carbine (semi-bullpup) and I don’t know why it was messed up so badly. Luckily a low power spring was included and it is shooting a little slow, but with an exceptional ES. I am hesitant to pull it out to measure. I do remember that it extended about 3/8″ beyond the receiver before the cap was installed.

Hum, the spring that u describe seem to have been compressed down from 2 1/4″ to 1.7″ long somehow ?

But I have a bunch of springs in 2 strengths, one is in the factory spec and another is in a softer Stainless Steel spring.

I have them in different lengths, 2 1/4″, 2″ and 1 3/4″.

The OEM is dull grey/brown (gun metal) and specs are, 375″ OD, .05″, 17 coils and should be 2.25″ long in length.
You can cut the long ones down to what ever length u like and grind/flatten the end but it’s not easy to do.
Presently from experimenting in my 2 Crickets I’m using the weaker Stainless Steel one that is only 2″ long, it has the same spec as the OEM with a lower lbs/in rating.
I’m able to archive full power with this spring (22 std with JSB 18g @ 930 fps) but it has a bit more consistency with a bit less hammer impact noise.

Hope you’re in the USA ?
If so, PM me your contact info I’l’ send u some in both strengths to test out at no charge to you Sir …… … .

Not sure if I can help you yet …..

What are the specs of the one you already have in your Cricket ?
The length, thickness of the spring and is it chrome like or dull gun metal like in appearance ?
