Sir, what I’m doing different-
With all appreciation for Mr. Ernst
Regulator has to be set at 130-135 psi to get 920 or more fps. Mine bottomed out at 830 27 fpe. Had to get a different reg from Ernest. He set it up for me so I just have to put it in and shoot.

Hi Ironcross, 960fps is 294mps with JSB heavy 18grains. How did you achieved this velocity? Did you set regulator because my reg is set approx. 123-125bar and I can not get more than 910fps (277mps) 😕
Try to increase your regulater pressure setting. I have opened the black stem one half turn approximately and the velocity increased from 880 to 915 fps wlth 18 grain. Jsb. Now the total hight of thr reg. From black stem to the alum. Body of the reg. Is 53.2mm. I know it may not be standard but this is what i have. Now the readinds get off reg. At about 130 bar.
Yes, yes Ville has right 😉 Reg tester from Ernest is useful equipment but here in Europe nobody offer it 🙁
Priority nr. is which speed is the best for accuracy. I do not want to use slower speed at the expense of accuracy.
Thats weird that increasing hammer spring reduces fps. Barrel port aligned? I tried lowering mine from 930fps to around 900fps, I used the reg tester I bought from Ernest…and when I tested I was actually shooting faster around 950fps…so I lessened the HST to get desired results…I too used a half turn on valve stem spring(maybe a full turn) Anyways it just goes to show that not one Cricket behaves like all the rest…?
It’s not weird at all. If his reg is set at that max velocity then when that velocity is reached with HST once you increase the tension the velocity drops again.

This is what he intend to do as he mentioned that in the title “tested” and he said that in Arabic at the end of the video. He will attempt to shoot a much smaller target at the same distance using the same gun and pellets.
Frankly , the cricket is superb gun and he is -regardless of his English deficiency – a Superb shooter too.

Thx btango – 910fps is maximum next increase hammer spring – velocity is decreasing. I think it is maximum for this reg. setting… Valve stem I have new aluminium with 1/2 turn after contact spring with retainer. Less is not possible because spring will be free. I thought there must be reg set to 130bar… For me is 910fps enough. I´m usually using 880fps or 889fps. but I´m curious how is good “better” setting for higher velocity with good efficiency. 💡

Its more than just the regulator…its a combination of reg, valve stem and hammer spring tension. If all you’re getting is 910fps and you want more maybe increase hammer spring tension or lessen valve spring tension or combination of the two. 😉

Sniperqty, very nice shooting. Can you do the same with at least 5 balloons in 10-12 shots? That would be more helpful. Too be honest, I think it can be done….amazing.
