Kalibrgun Tuning
Okay guys I know I am taking a long shot, but here goes nothing…
My kalibrgun Cricket .25 (stock) is shooting a bit too hot right now. Its hitting 990fps with Kings. Although I understand the gun and its workings I use a HP hand pump so degassing the gun every time to adjust the regulator (and then the HST) is a bit of a mission. So if I can ask a huge favor does any of you guys have measurements of the reglator’s overall length (So the regulator pressure is optimum and so I can adjust the travel). And how many turns the Hammer spring tensioner is turned in after contact. Also if you adjusted the valve spring how many turns after contact with spring?
I am looking to send Kings at about 910- 940fps I’m not to stressed about shot count, but consistency is key for me. (The guns extreme spread is pretty big at the moment)
I know that this is asking a lot and I’m probably just a bit lazy for doing all that pumping.
I dont have access to a carbon bottel and I probably wont have for a while.
Any imput is greatly appreciated.
P.s. I can’t seand my gun to Ernest Rowe, because im not in the US 😥

Use the 1/16 pin method be sure you are doing it correctly! Then while you have the gun apart, adjust your valve spring to 1 1/4 turns after contact. And adjust your hammer spring to just below the highest fps and you will be much more consistent.
The measurement method is not as accurate because the regulators are all different in OAL length.
You can have 5 regulators measured to the same OAL and it will give you 5 different bar values.
The 1/16″ pin is the latest method given out by Ernest and will get you in the ball park faster.

I will use Ernest’s method of 1/8th of a turn clockwise after contact with that pin you push through the regulator holes.
I will also check that my valve spring retainer is set to two full turns.
From there I can just adjust the HST until I get the velocity and consistency I want.
You guys really helped me out a lot.

OK: My Cricket was shooting right at 900 fps and my reg’s overall length was 53.11 I have 16 disks in my reg (stock). Below is a post to give you a reference.

You could try this method by Ernest to get you close to where you want faster.
But you will most likely need to go in again to make fine tuning adjustments.
The valve spring retainer can be set to 1-2 turns after contact and should be very consistent there.
Where this is set will also give you more or less hammer spring adjustment.

Can’t you simply reduce HST firstly and see what happens?

I am confused, Earnest, I thought you turn the black stopper CCW to increase fps? On the video once it was all the way in touching the punch you said it was like 138 bars or something like that. How could that be if you then turn it CCW 1/6 of a turn and the pressure goes down?
