Q:

Kalirbgun cricket spares

Hi there I’ve a kalirbgun cricket compact in 177 (second hand)
One of the stock screws is missing the one which goes up through the pistol grip but when I take stock off there’s nothing for it to screw into so I’m I to believe that the stock is off an other cricket compact and the cricket an earlier model

Thank you for your reply
It’s the bullpup stock so I’m believe it’s an older action in a new stock.
It’s not affecting accuracy or moving in stock so I might just get a fixing and some how glue it in so it looks like it has two fixings by looking at it .

It depends is it a Skeleton stock or a Bullpup stock ?

If it”s a Walnut Skeleton stock there should be a tension bolt and nut that goes though the pistol grip.
Not a point of fixing to the action but to aid in adding strength to the wood there can break or crack.

The bullpup on the other hand latter came with a second point of afixing to the action.
I believe that the pistol grip was one of them.
Being made out of Beechwood it’s less prone to end grain breackage.
Any bullpup stock proir to that had no hole or bolt though the pistol grip only the forgrip.
