kricket power adjuster?
Hi everyone!
I’m new to this forum, but have lurked from time to time. Thanks for having me! I have a question about the crickets power tune. Is the screw, or Allen key at the rear of the receiver for the spring adjustment? Is it the preload or travel adjustment? How does it work for you guys that use it?

You need internal work = reg and valve adjustement.
Hopefully you did a thorough bore swapping before you shot it too.
Also – is the barrel correctly centered and tightened ?
Thanks everyone. I’ll shoot through a couple tins and see where I’m at. I shot a quick magazine at 80yards and wasn’t impressed with the group. I looked like I had shot 3 groups. Very distinct POIs

IMHO:
My advice before thinking of tinkering with the insides.
The only thing I did when my Cricket 22 cal standard was new was all external tinkering.
I clean it’s barrel very VEry wEll, trigger adjustment and adjusted the HST for max shot count.
Re-torque the 4 frame hex bolts to minimize POI shifting and later a barrel pull adjustment.
Then I shot the living hEll OuT of it for at least 800-1000 pellets fire to let everything break in.
Kept the barrel clean every 250 shots or so.
Finalized the scope mounting lateral alignment.
In the time spent I chrony and tested JSB 18g and 16g and some H&N also.
Found the pellet of choice was JSB 18g and found it to be very accurate at 880 fps.
All the above took about 10 mouth or so before going into the gun.
A month ago I changing out all the factory O-rings and did a slight adjustment to the regulator and value spring.

Thanks for the advise. I will look into those. I recently sold an MRod that I spent quite a bit of time tuning, etc. is it really that easy on the cricket? Maybe because of the regulator?
The OEM adjuster/guide is a joke. They know everyone changes them for aftermarket units so no need to over engineer that that plastic bit. 🙂

Imppu HST v3 I think it’s the best, it locks and comes with a degasser.
I have one on two of my Crickets they have been working great, I put a short piece of 1/4′ shrink tubing on the inside spring guild to help with any spring twang.

I can’t say very much for the OEM HST.
It’s hammer spring preload, old one has two small holes new ones have one Allen hex key hole with spring guild.

It was stated that the barrel was cleaned before my purchase. However, after I shot about 100 pellets through I cleaned it. It was pretty dirty. There were pieces of metal. I have not checked the barrel alignment or tightening. I saw Earnests video on reassembling the air tube and breech. I’m assuming I just tighten it like that? The criss cross pattern? Any tips on barrel alignment? I’m not sure how to even start with that…
