Q:

Kricket’s shroud problems.

Hi there!
I recently bought a Kricket. For the very first shots I realized that something is wrong with the gun…The groups are not so bad but for some reason i hade one or two flyers in each group…
All these days the weather was not the best possible. I was trying to find the ideal conditions to do a proper test before i take the final conclusions about the gun. I wanted to try all the possible scenarios to be sure that no fault of the barrel, or the pellets, or the scope, or me!
Eventually one of my tests I took the shroud of and try a group. And then the big surprise. A tiny hole group at the 30 meters. Similarly, the second, and the third and fourth.
I took a look through the shroud and saw the hole from the buffles were not concentric. Was badly finished or had poor construction.
These are a couple of photos.

and here are some photos of groups after the shroud repair.

Welcome and nice shooting there. A guy in SA had one also, which the supplier swapped for another without problem. I also had one with a clipping issue which was swapped for a perfect one quickly and easily by the dealer. The customer support for these is excellent, mine is putting all pellets in the same hole if I do my part. It seems there are only three known shrouds so far with the issue to date out of all the Crickets produced, which is pretty good seeing it been the only real issue.
