Q:

Lama’s new hand cannon

Got back from the family in florida with a new toy. Traded a bunch of old deep sea fishing stuff for it. In my uncle’s words “the perfect trade, a gun that’s way too big for fishing poles that are way too big”. This thing is loud. I love it. 🙂 It’s a ruger super blackhawk in 44 magnum.

Also got to do some long range shooting. Stuck a target out at 600 yards (measured with a rangefinder) and shot at it. I was doing this with my .223 xr-100. I was doing 3″ and 4″ groups with it that far out. I thought it was pretty impressive. Fortunately there was no wind at all, so that made life easier. That thing is the most accurate gun I’ve ever shot. I think it can do better than what it was doing, I just need to learn to do it. I just ordered a jewell trigger for it, so I can’t wait until it gets in. Should help out at least a little.

Fun trip. 🙂

Here is a pic of my Dan Wesson 44 With a scope on it. Lots of fun. You get so focused on the crosshaires that you don’t notice the kick as much.

I got to get me one of those.

That’s a nice gun there fastlane. I like the grip. I’m not too fond of the one on this gun, so I’m giong to a new one. They sell some aftermarket stuff for it. I bet that 460 makes a good bit of noise. 🙂

On a side note, I got the jewell trigger for my .223 target rifle. All I can say is HOLY CRAP. The thing was expensive, but it’s worth every penny. It’s set somewhere between 1.5 and 3oz. I’ve had dry fire practice with it for a day just to get comfortable. But you can tell even in dry fire practice it makes shooting easier. There is no pulling the trigger, you feel it, and relax your finger against it, and click. It’s pretty intense. I’m going later today to try it out at the range. 😀 Woo! It’s not much good for any field work as it is now, trigger is just way too sensitive for anything but a bench. Luckily, it comes with 2 more springs that you can switch out with the one in the trigger now to make it adjustable up to several pounds. Which is better for out in the field.

I like it. 😀

Only in America could you swap a bunch of old fishing gear for a big hand-cannon. Over here you’d get a few thousand quid for that. 😆

Hey lama that was a real nice 44mag…here are a couple pics of my hand canon. S&W 460

Sweet! Nice pistola, Lama

Thanks guys. That 357 is pretty cool. Must have a heck of a holster. 😛

Nuggy, I actually have that pistol. My dad got it for me, first firearm I’ve ever had. It’s a fun little gun. I got it when I was 10 or so. I love it.

Pyr, it was good while it lasted. 😛 Stupid rules.

nice cannon lamma!!!!!!!!!!!! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

That revolver is absotively, posilutely wicked!!

Lama and all:

This is my Ruger Blackhawk in 357. I built a new barrel for it. Was inspired by the scene in the batman movie, where the joker pulls out the revolver with a 3 foot barrel and shoots down the Bat-jet with one shot!!!!

Pyrania,

Most of us like naked women but you need to make your Avatar smaller and cover up those Money Makers.

Thanks,

Yeah Lama… Close your eyes. 😆 I’ve got a Ruger .22 that looks just like that! Even came with a different cylinder to shoot .22 magnums.
