Laser Question
I’m looking for a decent (and not expensive) laser to put on my Talon SS for close range work. I was looking at the little BSA laser for $20 bucks at Walmart. Any experiences or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I found that the BSA and other generic lasers that resemble that one dont keep their settings after a while. They’re garbage, if you want a flashlight and laser combo and are willing to spend some cash go with the Surefire M6 Tactical Laser Illuminator it goes for $265.99 on the site below but you can find them cheaper. http://www.productwizard.com/insightm6.html
It mounts on tac rails so I took a plastic rail off an airsoft gun, cut it to size and mounted it. I used countersunk wide thread screws to secure it to the side of the foregrip and it works like a charm. You can select what you want to work (the laser or flashlight by themselves or both together). There’s also a toggle switch to lock the unit in the “on” position or push and hold and whatever you have selected will shut off upon release. The picture quality sucks because I used my cell phone but they’re good enough.

Just get you one at wally world maybe itll work ok for you for now.
Much better lights out there for gun mounting. Maglites are Walmart toys. Lasers still throw further though. 😉
Mount a Mag-lite and be done with it.
Just like shooting pool.. if you can see it, you can do it.
But allow the other side to laugh out loud if you miss.

NO! NO! No no, don’t wast anything & everything, on one of those Mal-Mart deals! The thing is, The lasrer is not to bad for the price at all (accept for the cheap plast that may break from ANY decent bump); But just know you’re gonna have to use your non trigger hand to turn it on every time because the pressure pad switch WILL BREAK in no time at all. I’ve spent money a couple times there on a few different lasers through time and ALL of them have the pressure problem (switch). The thing is, I tried & tried to weld them back several times (good work to), and the shits to low quality to hold and stay working. Hang out and save (?) like $80 and that amount more than Mal-Mart will keep you a good fun shot!

yup.. your going to be .181 too small..I put a 30mm scope on my s&w model 29 44 mag years ago…I thought I was going to have to make the rings myself..couldnt find them anywhere..thats the problem when we want to do something that not everyone else does..thats why were here..without changing the scope to 1 inch this will be a tuffy..I dont guess you have a mill, lathe and heliarc do you?? 😉
30 mm is larger than 1 inch. Putting tape would just make it bigger. You can make a 30 mm ring fit in a 1 inch tube with adapters but you can’t make a 1 inch ring fit a 30 mm tube.

you know 30mm is close to an in. you could use some black tape to make up the difference, I had the wa-mart one and it is plastic and one of my other guns slipped and busted it right off and glueing it wouldnt work so I got this other, the light works good to 30yrds. at least.
I was interested in that one also, but I have a 30mm scope tube. I can’t find one that attaches to anything other than a 1 inch tube.
I got the combo off of pyramyd, light and laser attaches to the scope, the laser is a little better quality then the Wal-mart one and it is much easier to adjust.

I use the BSA laser and it works fine!
I put one of those on my bakial machine gun with pretty good off the hip blasting fun, hitting a beer can at 10 to 20 yards no problem.
as far as super accurate the further away the bigger the dot
