Q:

Laser questions

I am looking for a laser that I can see in daylight at 100 yards through my scope. I have a nice scope (6×24 Bausch & Lomb 4200 Elite)
Any suggestions or real world experience on lasers? Will it work at 100 yards in daylight or am I asking the impossible?
Thanks, Curly

Thats not too bad. Stronger laser keeps the beam tighter for further..

no. I would estimate maybe 2 inch diameter. I have not used it in a while
so I can’t say for sure.

I would imagine it will be plate sized out that far??!!

i have a similar green laser.

i am not sure of the size of the dot at 100
yards, but is is very easily seen, no scope needed. That is in the day,
at night like he said it throws a green beam for miles. This is a 5mw
greenie.

How big will the ‘dot’ be at 100 yards? 😮

allows you to mount to the dovetail…..

bought this laser what weaver adapter rail is this?

Yes, I got a weaver / picanty style rail I will mount it on.

No adapter needed if you already have a weaver/picatinny rail it is mounting on. I needed an adapter because I mounted it to the dovetail rail on my SS.

That one looks really nice. Does it have the standard on / off switch? I do not want the pressure type switch. Just want to click it on and not worry about it until I turn it off.

Yup, it comes with both…I didn’t like the on/off switch…seems to not really work in pushbutton form, once you screw it on, it stays on till you loosen it…mine might have been defective but I didn’t want to use it so I didn’t care if it worked or not…
This is the only one I have found that you don’t have to take of the caps to adjust it…just turn the knobs like they’re target knobs on a scope!

Your on/off button is working correctly. If you wish to use it handheld it works as a momentary push button. If you want it to stay on you tighten it all the way and it stays on.

You need the rail adapter right?

Absolutely and @ only $50 shipped…you can’t go wrong 😀

It has the externally adjustable knobs for windage/elevation. In the middle of the day I can see the dot several hundred yards away…on a metal power pole, through the scope! It is a big blur @ that distance but my gun isn’t gonna shoot that far. I just wanted to see how far I could see it in the daylight. @ night I can point to stars and you can see the beam the whole way there 😀
Got mine here:

I want to use it to help me with trajectory and pellet placement, I will not be doing off hand shooting from the hip. It is not for self defense or night shooting.
Most all of my shooting is 35 to 100 yards and my thinking is if it works then I could mount the laser under the barrel (below pellet path) and the scope is of course above so it could help me with an upper and lower limits.
Pellets have a very arching trajectory and I would like a way to better put the pellet exactly where I want it. It would not replace a good scope but would be used in addition to it if it helps any.
