Q:

Latest mods on the Drozdblackbird

I just got the tank and the adapter yesterday and today. I had to cut out a lot of the stock to get this to fit, I saw a lot of these on the internet forums that looked like they had been done by a Stihl chainsaw, so I don’t think this looks too bad.

I used a dremel cut off tool and a dremel steel cutter to follow a line I made with, yeah you guessed it Duct tape. 😛

The bottle in a bag was just too clumsy especially if time was of the essence, and if time is of the essence the 300 shots this gives works fine, if I need more air, I will just plug the tethered bottle back in.

I wanted a flashlight, but until I get optics on it this Duct taped Fancyfire will have to do, it is ugly but I don’t expect much company in the next few days.

Next will be a Millet red dot I have a bid on on Ebay. I had one before and thought it was a fine short range sight to 20 yards or so but not beyond, so for a BB gun like this it will be perfect. I will put an extra ring on it to hold the fancyfire flashlight.

I have 10 xeno batteries coming and bought some Lithium AA’s at Bestbuy so soon I will have 15 volts instead of the 9 volts I am running, I expect that to get me into the 700 FPS range.

Like all air guns it is fun, but gets spendy if you go crazy on it.

Regards,

Roachcreek

I have a cheap red-dot for sale if you are interested, just throwing that out there. Nice duct tape by the way! If you can’t duct it, fuck it.
