LDC options
Now hearing that the mutant LDC is really quite and folks adding an aftermarket LDC on top of the stock one why not get a longer stock LDC to fit on to the shorter ones…I know there are no stock LDC available individually but we can drive the demand. So instead of an aftermarket one put a standard LDC on a Short or a long LDC on a standard, obviously the long would require an aftermarket. I like the idea of the using a longer stock one to keep the look consistent, clean and low key, but we also know the stock design works very well. Have folks that make LDCs copied the Mutant LDC design? Make it longer then stock. I just find that a different looking LDC on top of a stock LDC looks kinda goofy, not to take away from folks hard work but I like cleaner stealthy look. With that said I’m okay with how quite my Shorty is at 27ish FPE, just a bit louder then my regulated SynRod.

For Me, it is the opposite. A Long shroud is ugly as f*ck. I much prefer a LDC that is fatter than OEM shroud. Looks much better in my own personal opinion.
I’m with Cricket on this one! Not only do I like the look of a larger/shorter “Can” on a AG, this unit by Donny is exceptionally good looking! 😉

I think the goal is always try to keep it stock and effective hence guys drilling holes into their shrouds hoping to not have to screw on an LDC. The mutant in my opinion is quiet compared to other guns on the market but depending on how hard you’re shooting that pellet, it could still be louder than you want it to be and therefore a need for LDC.
It is not easy to machine the baffles found in the mutant. You would need a $15k CNC machine to produce enough baffles for sale. To do it manually may take an hour or more for each baffle.
My standard is Damn quiet tuned at @30 ft lbs and being just under 30″ OAL fits the UTG carry case like a glove.
Having an extra LDC gives the option of SUPER STEALTHY silence if situation warrants it without having to deal with added length all the time if a longer one piece were fitted.
Its more than just the shround – its a very efficient gun so it uses less air than other bullpups so hence less noise.
The stock Mutant LDC is pretty fat to begin with, or at least it is fatter then most other brands. I think that is one reason why it is quieter.

Your post confused me but I knew what you were talking about,
The SHROUD is on your gun, The LDC is the after market thing you screw on the shroud,
I only use my LDCs when I am stealth shooting, I may use it on another gun of the same caliber,
I love the look of a non airgunner when you pull the Cricket of Mutant out of the case and start screwing on the LDC,
I did tell one guy that it was an air gun and when I started screwing on the LDC ,
He “said I am leaving if you screw that thing on there”, :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:
