Q:

Leak

I just got back from the scuba shop they tried to fill my tank using the
scuba adapter and at 2500 it started to leak.

Its brand new and this is the first attempt at a fill
the girl was helpful she tried 3 times but the best she could do was 2500
I have the 1/4 adapter finger tight with the tank screwed in finger tight.
Am I supposed to tighten the 1/4 adapter with a wrench?

Yeah… sorry, just trying to figure out what was your problem.

Hope you don’t spit in the next one trying to help you, cause you’ll only wet your screen.

Maybe to some it’s like rocket science. Good luck!

Hey, just curious…

Why did you take the scuba adapter to the dive shop?

Did you try to fill the gun’s airtank or did you let the lady at the dive shop do all the hard work? Bet she carryed the scuba tank to your car!
*Kidding about the lady… 😀 but have you had the same problem?

My fill adapter is different (bleed, airtank adapter and gauge are attached to a cilinder connected to the nut in black), so I can only guess how yours work… is the bolt circled in black supposed to turn??? Shouldn’t it be screwed in the frame?

Woa guys, not too tight. If mine is anything more than finger tight it leaks like a mofo. If you tighten it too much the rubber seal on the washer kinda seperates from the metal. At least for mine, tightening with any kind of tool is way too much. That was the first thing I did wrong when I got my condor… Luckily its been fine since I loosed it up.

Copy that
thx

crank that thing down, also a bit of teflon tape on the adaptor threads will help, and make sure the o rings are lubed a bit

What he said 😆

Tighten that up a bit. It needs to be snug enough to seal.

Make sure that tank adapter is on tight. There is a washer with a seal on it. You might need to take it off and clean everything. THen put some divers silicon on the seal and put it back on.

Give it a try.

The tank adapter turns the nut in the black circle when I tighten it.
Should I use a wrench to hold it? I thought I read to just finger tighten it.
There is no dirt or any other obstruction. The seal on the washer is clean no cuts or mars
