leaking high flow valve
Hallo,
My selph valve is leaking since I put a new stem in it. I checked the valve seal to see if there is a piece of grit or something on the sealing face which would cause the leakage, couldn’t find anything. After assembling the same result: hissing sound and a little air comming out of the tophat.
How do I get this thing fixed?
Gert

What it means is that the hole in your valve might be at the top of tolerance and the stem (having been made by a third party I assume) is closer to the bottom side to make shure it fits and has the best chance of working but because the seal is allowed to hit the valve face crooked because of the slop and therefore not sealing all the time ..so what I would do is get in touch with who ever made the new stem for you and explain what is going on and see if they can make you another one but send them the valve body too so they can make it fit with little “wiggle” room….Greg
