Q:

leaking valve

I have 2 talons. One has a blodnob valve and shoots like a dream. I problem is with the standard talon valves both are leaking air round the Stem when I shoot (the long thin bit attached to the tophat, that goes into the valve), It makes a substancial noise and I can feel the air blast when I place my hand near the breach. Any ideas on how to stop this?

thanx

Thanx for the info. much appreciated

The air that escapes around the valvestem when a shot is fired is normal for all Talon/Talon SS and older Condor valves. The only way to prevent this is to have an O-ring groove cut and a rubber o-ring installed in the interior of the brass base. The newer Condor valves now have this upgrade and no longer allows air to escape via the sides of the valvestem, thus making it more air-efficient. I know this because I used to have the old valve on my Condor and now have the new valve assembly. I also have a Talon valve kit that I ordered not too long ago from Airforce. I believe Tony of Talontunes does the valve o-ring mod for the Airforce valves. You might want to get in contact with him if you want it done on your valve.
