Leaky o-ring?
New to this game and have a question. Been shooting my talon, got it used, on Co2 with all going fine. Today my first shot blows all over and have water on gun and hand with the next shots just fine. I lay the gun down with the muzzle down and tank up, shoot again a few minutes later with similar results. I can feel gas on my hand at power wheel but next shots are fine. Is this a bad o-ring or possibly bad gas? The tank is new, only filled once but getting low, thanks for any help, Tim.

Well now all shots blow out, o-rings seems to be the answer, thanks for the tip.
You’ll need co2 compatable O-rings. You need to lube your O-rings or replace and lube your breech O-rings. Co2 will dry and rot all O-ring unless you constantly relube ’em. You should add a few drops of pellgunoil or some 30 weight non detergent motor oil to the valve on your co2 bottle. This blows the O-ring lube through the breech when fired.
I’d put some O-ring lube on the co2 valve and try that first, just a drop or two, has resealed many leaking O-rings.

Knowing that I know very little, what I don’t understand is why subsequent shots are fine. Why is just the first shot blowing out?
Sounds like maybe the breech o rings are bad.

I’ll try the oil, should get me through the day. I’m doing some bird control work in a big building today.
