Q:

Leaky stem problem

I was trying to get my SS sighted in at 30yds when I noticed shots wer sparatic then the sound of air leaking. I notice my tophat was lose, I tightened it but it didn’t stop or slow the leak. Do I need to replace the whole valve set up or is there a way it could’ve worked loose or something?

Thanks

The gasket seemed to be ok. I added teflon to the threading and loc tite to the grub screws of the tophat. It is holding well so far. I’ll try another site in tomorrow.

Thanks, I’ll check it out after it bleeds out.

Sorry, I thought it was blasts of are not a slow leak.

Could mean a new valve seal, not hard to replace

Most likely your breech o-rings are worn and are passing air. Grab some 90 durometer ones and your good to go
