Leaper disappoints
The Leaper I just bought, a 4-16×50 w/illiminated reticle, is junk. There is a mickey mouse turret lock down and the thing just doesn’t work. I wasted a session at the range with this thing.
Fortunately, i have a Simmons pro-air that will do nicely.

I had that same problem with one of my Leaper and yeah the tape does it right.
Got one since the beginning of the year… it’s ben working great! Only had cheaper scopes and this Leapers really worths the price I payed for it (welll… maybe it worths even a little more since it’s kind of cheap).
Borrowed a 6-20×40 Leopold VX-something for a few weeks. Didn’t see much difference… except when I gave it back and the Leapers felt a little crappier.
The only problem I had was the lens covers. They don’t attach very well to the scope. Fixed it with some tape inside the covers.
I just odered a leapers swat 4-16×56. We will see 8)
leapers swat 4-16×56 here. only had a month or so but so far so good. Love it and thinking about another. Definitely not a leupold, nikon, zeiss, swarovski, or burris, but for the $$ spent, very good.
I have had the same leapers 4X16X50 scope twice and it works great.
I think it’s hit and miss. 😛
I have a few leapers, and all have worked great. I never have poi shift on my condor. I like my leapers.
Of course, I like the leupold tactical scope on the blaser more.
It’s amazing. You never realize how much of a difference high dollar optics make until you really get to use it. Then you wonder how you ever did without it. 😀
I like the leupold much much much more than the leapers. But the leapers don’t cost near as much. And it gets the job done. As long as you get a good one that is…

I have new leapers 4-16 x50 sitting here waiting for TSS.
I wonder if its going to work good. =(
It can be a crap shoot with leapers. I have one that was responsible for POI change on my Talon.
Put a Legend on it and the POI change disappeared.
There can be other reasons but for me the scope was one of them

Yeah… nothing like scotch tape and spit to fix things… 😀
What model is this Leapers? The 5th gen? Mine works fine, the lock mechanism is very nice.
What happens with yours?
