Q:

Learning that the bolt moves forward

Yesterday afternoon, I was at the range sighting in my Talon and another air rifle. It got a little confusing working the bolt. It finally dawned on me that for the last 60 years the bolt pulled back. But everything went fine and I was able to check on some figures from the app Chairgun. The figures were right on.

Yes, I cock my Talon and Condor using my left hand with it’s pointer and mid finger on the front of the top rail using the front scope ring base as a leverage point. I even learn to load the pellet with my left hand also.

Now I even cock my Crickets with my left hand also without loosing my right hand grip and trigger position.

These rifles are a bit confusing to begin with, I agree Ray. They are probably the opposite to every other rifle ever made. I am right-handed and cycle my Air Arms and BSA with my right hand (naturally) but cycle my Gunpower Stealth with my left so I don’t have any confusion. Try it!
