Leepers Creepers on Tallon SS
4 year old cheap scope that has driven me “nuts” over the last two years. This is the 3-9×44 AO SWAT which is, surprise, no longer available.
On a bench I would (sometimes) get hole in ones then three or four fliers. I have always blamed myself, then pellets then the gun. Clean, check mounts, repeat. Last week I swapped my even cheaper Center Point scope and all twenty five rounds touching or stacked at 20m back yard range. Now out of air while scuba tank in two week hydro.
It did say limited lifetime warranty so did fill out the form, online. So far no response in 4 days which is no surprise. My warped thinking is that they would take scope back, evaluate, then repair or replace.
During the wait time I have read that if you want good service, avoid product refreshes and that lifetime warranty in nothing more than you buy new at 20% off; don’t buy Leepers. One poster said do not buy Chinese junk, would that be 75% of the scope market?
Well, I got a $500 rifle, I should at least get matching glass that has some sort of service and replacement if the fault is the glass. Shame, the $150 glass always seems to be the bargain..
