Lelantos – Talon Tuned .25 Talon SS 18" barrel

LELANTOS was the younger Titan god of air and the hunter’s skill of stalking prey. His name was derived from the Greek words lêthô, lanthanô, and lelathon, meaning “to escape notice,” “move unseen” or “go unobserved.”
I had Tony build this rifle based on two concepts, pinpoint accuracy at or below 50 yards (for backyard pest control and close quarter small game hunting), and extreme silence on the part of the gun. I wanted little or no report.
I think it’s fair to say that I got that and more.
Here’s a rundown on the things I ended up putting into the rifle.
Hawke Optics Sidewinder 30 (30mm) 6-24×56 scope, mountings and updated AirForce tri-rail bar.

Ported and polished tank valve

Harris 6″ extendable bi-pod (mounted to gun)
WokButt adjustable stock
Hammer slap modification
O-Ring Modification

I think as far as mods go, I basically got everything Talon Tunes offers on this gun, right Tony?
So, just got home from being away on business for a couple days, and just had a chance to open the package which came Wednesday, set it all up and take some shots of it on my deck. I’m seriously blown away by how amazing this thing is. Very very cool piece of machinery.

illuminate ?? with a NV ( without Infra Red ) you don’t illuminate your target, you only catch MORE light. 😛
Yeah, unfortunately, Kommiefornia being what it is, you can’t illuminate any game here with any sort of lights, with the one exception of raccoons, which you are permitted to illuminate. I guess cause they only really come out at night?
Strange, actually, looking into Illuminated reticles like on the Sidewinder 30, the jury seems to still be out on that as well, even though the light that is emitted is only seen by the shooter.
Amazing… makes me want to order one from Tony even though I don’t need one right now 🙂
Pop a cheap laser on the front rail and you have a close range hunting tool.

You can hunt bunnies where i live until midnight, but are not allowed to illuminate them….aren’t these guys that we pay so well to make the laws just brilliant!!!!!!
