I am happy to hear that Ed finally sent you the part to fix this problem.

Thanks, Ed. I got your package from you. I not only get moderator nut replacement ,also free extra o-rings and screws.

Thanks, Guys. I wish I can make it myself. I couldn’t find anyone who can do it.
My Lelya is very accurate. I also ordered multi-shot bolt breech from Russia. I can not return it now.

Can’t someone make you the part ?
Maybe machining a steal tube of the same OD and tapping it out, then drilling 2 crisscross holes right through it to use a rod to tighten it down instead of a hex wrench.

A crying shame if it’s a real shooter for it to be the only cause of it’s return …….. and so longing for it to begin with. 😥
Just my :2cents:

No reason why you should sit on a gun that is not working. It’s insane. We waited a year for the Lelya and that was so the company could get it right. Send it back.

It’s another month now. I’ve been waiting for the barrel screw nut since I got it. I’m thinking if I need to return it to Tony.

After assembly the rifle again, the clipping problem come back. I found the lock nut is not machined right, see pic.
Tony or Ed, can I order a good locking nut from you? What is the size of the barrel muzzle thread?

I emailed to Ed for the barrel Nut. I’m still waiting for the part. I put three alum. shims on the top to align the moderator to avoid clipping now.

Tony have not. But Ed told me that he has given the order to the parts dept. I’m still waiting for the nut.

Did Tony or Ed ever email you back about the nut?

I tried Earnest’s solution to shim the barrel nut, but for me it’s not work because the barrel nut is not even. You can see in the video. http://s827.photobucket.com/user/aptsrenting1/media/barrel-nut_zpsgdqzqmvo.mp4.html. The nut kept moving the moderator up and down.

I’m kind of like this idea.

I emailed Tony and still waiting for his response.

I’d be interested in the info if you get an answer Charlie. I think my .30 had same problem.

thanks in advance,
-L

Thanks all. I just got the clipping problem fixed. I use 10 mm allen wrench to loose the nut and look through the barrel and retighten it.
Now shoot one ragged hole at 35 yards.
