Man, you gotta love the Russian approach to building stuff. No little thumb screw holding a barrel in place that can be easily stripped. The barrel locking screws remind me of the FN SCAR.

Charlie…my bro… i don’t think Ed will make such silly quality to make you order/need a baffles later (if you mean that) … this Leshiy has passed enough test with Ed … i think it will be a great gun…
Hi Hemn, I believe so. I’m a big fan of Edgun. I only buy Edguns now. When are you getting the Leshiy? I’ve ordered one from KS long ago.
One shot — one kill! 🙂 In fact he told me that he shot 3 or 4 times, but as the boat was shaking on waves he just missed 🙂
Perhaps your client’s mistake on this hunt was using a single shot gun while trying to kill a flock of birds. You should have provided him your Lelya 2.0 multi-shot! :biggrinn:
No problem with the plastic baffles, as plastic is very robust. Since they are plastic and they are nor milled but cast it means I will have them a lot (like a have magazines now) and can send them quckly on any request.
As for the sound, that is right, the frequency is different. Here is picture from one of my clients He was roaring on his boat and saw gooses. Let the wind move his boat to them (he told it was very shaky from wind and waves) and he shot from 30 meters. One goose was dead instandly (Leshiy .25, standard barrel 250 mm), and the others didn’t even noticed it, they didn’t hear the shot. The only mistake he did, began to move quickly to reload, being under adrenalin 🙂 that is why they flew away, otherwise could get more.

You can buy extra sets of baffles with the gun, ed Said so in his video. So if you are insecure just get a few extra sets

There are a couple reasons Ed chose plastic for the baffles. First off Ed knows Americans want a quiet gun. I had communicated this need on several occasions.
When we think of sound oftentimes decibels come to mind. Decibels are only part of the sound equation. How loud something sounds also depends on the pitch and frequency. The Russian military grade plastic proved to me more quiet in pitch and frequency than metal baffles. According to Ed (and his cameraman) the Leshiy sound is pleasant to the ear. In other words the pitch is lower. This will produce a quiet gun. Think of beating a drum versus blowing a whistle.
The second reason is of course cost. This gun is already very expensive to produce. So a material is cheaper and works better for the intended purpose I say use it. I above all else want this gun to be quiet. I believe Edgun has achieved this with the new moderator material.
I don’t like the plastic moderator. It doesn’t match the high end PCP. It makes Leshiy kind of cheap. The clipping pellet cannot damage the moderator on my Matador, but it will do on Plastic.

In fact since last year i couldn’t order any guns from Ed due to the strict security at the airports because of the bad situation that shit ISIS brought to us… for the time being i stopped ordering all guns … but i can order parts through one of my good friend who lives in Sweden and he use to get my orderes and bring them to me with himself….
Otherwise i have no doubt to order any Edgun products…because what i not afraid of is having problems with getting spare parts in case if i need any parts …however i think the only part was the air valve i replaced……
