I’ve always contacted John Hagan if I needed an adapter machined. He seems able to take care of all you “Special Needs” forum members. All he needs would be the existing threads on the Leshiy to machine an adapter for 1/2 X 20 Fatboy threads.
His contact is Hagantool@aol.com, and explain to him what you need. I have no doubt he could machine the existing Leshiy to a Fatboy conversion, if he had the gun in hand.
One other thing…might I suggest, for maximum performance, that you get your Fatboy at least 6″ long. That’s one way to assure you get maximum performance from Donny’s masterpiece. The short version is quite good for some applications, but others might best benefit from a bit more length. I’d discuss that with Donny before ordering, to ensure you get the results you expect.
Personally I think Ernest’s work is awesome. Not suitable for everyone’s tastes…but he certainly thrilled me with his Leshiy conversion!!!

tested a 15″.30 cal with shroud/LDC making 60fpe that you couldn’t do with stock mod. this mods is made for my needs—this leshiy is so versatile and fun now.
Next is to mod a CF bottle to replace the small rear tube.

You would need a longer Fatboy to be as effective….
I think wingman had the right idea/solution to having a longer barrel and air striiper/shroud. If only he would sell it to the public. 🙂
Can’t someone figure out an adapter to fit the Fatboy to the leshiy? Not for permanent use of course because it would be ugly and all that but for when you need the extra quiet

I have a fat boy and know how effective they are. However, I would not have the balls to do that to my leshiy..

Interesting idea.
Looks like you permanently cut off the shroud area, are you using regular threaded barrels in the Leshiy? I like being able to add on additional noise devices if needed, especially if you are powering up a .30 for hunting.

The new gen2 Leshiy with plastic parts makes it look “lower end”. The shoulder stock looks busy with all the grooves unlike the aluminum version.
Damn, so how did he attach it, was it one of those barrel clamp atapters with a set screw to the barrel with 1/2″ UNF? Because the barrel is protruding a little bit
I prefer this look over the OEM. Not because I make the fatboys lol but always like the look of a SMG with a big can in the front. FYI he had to hack off the front part of the Leshiy in order to do this.

Ernest, if you milled this piece below your objective flat or at a slight slant, it would greatly improve your choices in optics.
Ed’s concept of an eccentric shroud is unique but it’s not versatile as one would have hoped for. I for one like where Ernest is headed with this mod. If only Ed would use this approach with his LDC it would make various length barrel swaps more aesthetically appealing. I think this mod with Donny’s new SUMO would look very good.
I can’t wait to see Ernest’s bottle mod for this Leshiy.
