Q:

Lessons learnt

Hi Guys
Why do we have to keep learning the same lessons? I bet most of the “oldies” that read this have already found this out and have probably written about it.
I recently bought a new Blodnob valve and a 25” barrel. Installed them at the same time and everything went to shit!!!!!!. Check out to grouping -I went from a 1cm group to 5 cm group (at 45 metres).

I checked everything. I eventually left the valve in and put my old barrel back. Result was a 4 shot group with holes overlapping.
When I chronied the long barrel I found the 14 grain JSB’s were clocking 1250 fps, hence the increase in grouping. The 23 grain enjins were clocking 980 fps and the groups tighten to 15 mm.

Lessons learnt
Only make 1 change at a time.
Keep FPS below 1050 or the grouping will go to shit.

On a final note
Sean’s valve is well worth the wait
