Let’s Get Technical "Maybe"
Been tuning my Vulcan .22 at length and have some questions. I have a reg tester and have set and checked the reg. It is dead on 120 bar. I am shooting 16 gn Air arms pellets at 971 FPS and getting nearly 100 shots with a 6.32 ave. FPS spread. That is 240 bar to falling off the reg at what looks like 115 bar. The only question / problem I have is this. I have the HST screwed out 2 ½ turns from flush. That would not be a problem BUT, the o-ring on the HST is ½ in the gun and ½ out. I have tried adjusting the HST and it shoots 1050 and up real easy. Currently at 971 FPS I get roughly 10 shots per 10 bar. I understood that 930 was where these are supposed to be shooting when using 16 gn. I can’t screw the HST out that far or o-ring will be out of gun and HST turns while shooting due to vibration. I’m thinking my HST spring just happens to be on the strong side. Anyone have a better idea??
