Lets Play Airsoft with THIS….
Been having some fun with this thing. Still wanting to do some more mods to it, but right now I’m getting 650fps on it using bulk CO2. Couple that with 1200rounds per minute on full auto and ….yep…this thing kicks ass.

I like my modded out Drozd as well, but I have to say, I like the Blackbird better….
The Drozd on bulk CO2 was great, but it was a bitch to have to keep reloading after 30 shots….
As far as range, here is what the Blackbird will do on semi auto at 15 yards.
My next order of business with the Blackbird is to put a HPA tank on it, upgrade the batteries and see what it will do… 😈

How far is the effective range with the mods/longer barrels?
If I had an inbred hatred for certain venomous snakes….and wanted to create an additional asshole for them, to relieve constipation, how far away could I get and still get the job done?

I used to have the yellow stock one, I killed a nutria with it, but it was in a live trap.
About once a month I get the urge of the modded out blackbird, with the big mag and hpa, then I get professional help and the urge goes away, sometimes for as ong as two hours. 😕 😕 😕 😕

Have a fully modded black Drozd with all the JimC bits…
Okay a few points folks…
to pull in the 900FPS range you need to run a 24″ barrel
I went with Jims 15″ w/ ventilated steel shroud
Yeah the older mags empty fast, then again no faster than a 32 round stick dumps out of a Ingram SMg, much less a 600rpm Uzi…learn a bit of control
I prefer the older series guns. Have Jims Push Pull folding stock on it as well as each of my mags set up for HPA
You as well want to go with the N series battery conversion and for serious power change out the valves in the magazines
with a 15″ barrel I am in the mid 800 FPS range
Jim also makes a 1/2×20 adapter for his ventilated shroud allowing use of standard AG moderators
There are a couple different patterns of mod boards out there to go straight full auto depending on vintage of Drozd
last thing if you go HPA you will want a Ronin gear hip scabbard for your HPA bottle.

I own a modded bumblebee. They’re great but very loud.
An hpa tank with a 1000 – 1200 psi regulator will maintain velocity. I use a remote line on my modded bumblebee and the hose really twists once pressurized at the higher psi.
Problem for us bumblebee owners with its 30 round clip is that on full auto at 1200rpm you only get 1.5 seconds of fun before having to reload. But I guess we conserve BB’s that way.
The blackbird is a real killing machine with it’s large capacity reservoir of BB’s. It purees anything it hits.

No, we’re not allowed to play BBs in the games, this is not an airsoft gun, with that FPS blowing the 5.1 grain BB, you may kill someone 😆 😆 😆

I heard you can burn up a barrel going full auto with bb’s, and the lead ones are better

you can with the older, non treated barrels… but the new after market barrels are just fine. No worries there….. and besides, they are easy to replace… so if you have to replace a barrel every 20-30000 BB’s… no big deal.
I’ve got the older Bee as well modded out, but it’s nothing like this thing. I’m likely going to list the Bee for parts at this point.

thats a Drozd Blackbird… shoots steel BB’s at around 650fps. With a couple more mods, I should be able to get an easy 700-725fps out of it and if I run on HPA, I can get upwards of 900fps out of it.
Shreds cans, watermelons, …and I’m sure it would put a hurtin on a pit…haha

Does any other vendor made BBs heavier than 5.1 grain? Something like 10 grain will be awesome 😆 😆 😆
