Q:

Leyla .25 owners-to-be…a supply of lighter .25 pellets

With a 12″ barrel, my calculator indicates the new Leyla will push the .25 gr JSB’s in the 725 fps range to reach 30 fpe, which is the fpe Ed indicated it would be capable of reaching. Muzzle velocity may be slower or faster, no one knows until we get further word.

If you want to find out how your new .25 Leyla performs at an increased velocity, 800 fps, or higher, I have a supply of good quality lighter weight .25 pellets on hand, that I can spare.

I have two (2) tins, H&N Field Target Trophy that weigh 19.91 gr. One unopened tin with 200 count, one partially opened tin with 100 count. Domed pellets.

One tin BSA Pylarm 18.6 gr. 200 count, screw lid tin, appears to be full and unused. Domed pellets.

One tin Beeman Laser Pellets, 180 count tin, 18 gr., domed pellets.

I examined the open tins and all pellets were in factory new condition, with no bent or damaged pellets that I could see.

$25.00 shipped USPS, CONUS, for the lot.

First PM that wants them gets the deal. Better hurry…these are imported, cost hundreds new, my loss is your gain, operators are standing by.

No to be concerned my dear Blow-Me-Long-Long-Time….

The bitch I purchased with my Leyla money, an ex-patriet from Russia residing in Cuba, had the crabs and was not allowed to enter the United States. However, it was $150 well spent, as she is now whoring full time on a Cuban merchant ship, named “Uranus Rising“…which is a step up from her prior employment wherein she was paid 10 Rubles per day at a Minsk Chiropractic hospital to dig out compacted bowels from constipated patients. In her own words…“It vas a shit yob!!!’

And my dear Awning….I am a man cursed with the desire to never be satisfied. Cursed with damning good looks as a youth, I was never accepted by the good looking/normal girls because they were intimidated by my personality and breath taking appearance.

My Senior High School graduation photograph:

I was destined to date the girls with fried egg chests…the ugly dregs of society with terminal acne, and finally…the whales that no one man would, or could, date because they lacked a flatbed truck, and proper heavy off-loading equipment…a necessity I learned when one of these dates went horribly awry. I was parked in front of a very nice “Weiner-Schnitzel” restaurant, who were offering “ten for the the price of one” fully loaded, chili-cheese dogs. The halter winch cinch snapped during her off-loading from my Ford 250 with the tail gate removed, the ugly fat bitch jack-Knifed on me, and rolled into the cooking shed, crushing the propane powered boiler, and destroying ten 1500-count crates of “Hi-Point Restaurant Grade Franks” in the process. Fortunately I had rented the used truck and winch equipment under a false name, because my check was bad, and was able to flee into the dark to avoid prosecution. She was not so lucky. Charged with not having an “OTR” licence, exceeding state weigh limits of the Ford 250, and transporting over-sized cargo without proper city and state permits, and failing to arrange proper police escort for city street passage, she went to jail for 90 days, and paid a $500 fine.

This was a “Glamour Shots” she sent to me from the Richland County Penal Farm, along with a note that said…”I’ll find you. And you will pay dearly!!!

After it arrived…I literally shit myself.

I vowed never to touch another “woman”…That’s when I left the state and quietly moved to Grapevine, Texas…where I was sexually violated in a public park, one dark night, by a man and his four Blue Tick hounds! It was my lowest point in life. He didn’t even pay the agreed upon price…just laughed and walked away.

Grief stricken…I visited Cuba illegally, and went “GAY”. Down the brown road…pumping fudge for pennies…Selling “High Colonics” in back alleys. It’s where I met the Russian “Crab Woman” who cleared bowl compaction in men with a long shank, Craftsman flat head screwdriver, and a can of WD-40, in the dark back allies of “Little Havana”.

Apprehended by the Cuban Moral Crimes Police, she was diagnosed with chronic crab infestation, and sent to the Havana Rehabilitation Center, where she was offered her current employment on board the Cuban freighter.

Yes, my feeble minded forum lads…the journey has been long, and filled with disappointment. Indeed, perhaps that is why I cancelled the sleek Leyla, and got the biggest, heaviest pcp pig on the market…trapped in a vicious cycle of self punishment for a life all too often compromised with bad decisions, caused by rejection from society.

I am to be pitied….

I must quit now. My vision grows dim…my hands grow weak.

Poor ‘Ol Uncle Hoot:

My dearest Uncle Hoot,

My saddess day today to read your post that you are not getting your Lelya .25. I’m not so looking forward to getting my Lelya .22 now.

I’m sorry for all those comments I’ve made about you and your soon to be Russian bride. I’ll stop. I don’t want you to think I’m cyber stocking you.

Please take great care and post more of your great wisdom. I’ve enjoyed reading them greatly.

With respect,

Blow Low

But Hoot I don’t get it! With all these great bullpups out there capable of 50+fpe and well made, why would you want to go the round of converting an even more expensive air ranger to a bullpup? What am I missing here is it the thrill of building a new unique gun or is there really something you need that’s not available out there and you need to build?

Dear Lowly Forum Member,

For the second time in trying to order a Leyla, I simply ran out of time to receive it. My backyard is awash in creatures who are digging, eating, and savaging my plants. I can’t wait until February, 2015. It never really gets cold down here in the Mid-South, so the animals are active all Winter.

Since I am a man of modest means, I can’t own more than one high end air rifle at any given time. My second favorite air rifle has been the Air Ranger by Daystate. A beast of a gun it is! But it has the power potential to take down almost any creature in our woods.

I have friends in low places who have offered to help cut a bullpup stock for it. That is great news! Then I have to figure out how to get linkage, and a picatinny rail mounted to fit. An Air Ranger bullpup would be a nifty gun to own, and I can get a regulator for it if I so desire. The Harper Slingshot valve is nothing more than a Daystate mechanical valve with an anti-bounce feature built in. It’s not the most efficient valve out there, but a regulator can help cure that, and the gun can be cranked up to 80 fpe if one needs that kind of power. I can be quite happy with 50 fpe. I have some RatSniper swaged 37 gr. hollowpoints that leave the barrel at 750 fps at the factory valve setting. I’d like to move that up into the 800+ fps range for accuracy.

If I can “bullpup” this monster, I will post pictures and assorted details on how I managed to get it done. Otherwise, I will use it till I tire of it and see what’s on the market next Spring. Air Rangers are not that difficult to sell and they hold their value quite well. This will be my second one.

So there it is…a poor man’s efforts to survive and still have fun.

I remain very curious as to how the Leyla will handle .25 caliber pellets ballistically, without a rainbow trajectory, and that’s why I grabbed some light .25 pellets. There’s no reason why the Leyla can’t perform as well as the .22 caliber, if fitted with a similar weight pellet.

I shall continue to haunt this section in the hopes I can figure out the required linkage to make my gun a bullpup. But first, a stock is needed and I’m all over that.

Regards,

Kindly ‘Ol Uncle Hoot:

PS: The pellets sold immediately.

Dear, Venerable, Uncle Hoot, please allow me and the rest of us feckless humps one question. Have you fallen out of love with Lelya? Selling all your Lelya ammo?
Maybe you can’t bring yourself to jam just any projectile into her lovely breech? Come out with it, all of TAG has been hoping for this unholy union for months!!

Regards
