little round plastic piece
shooting in the backyard and when i closed the breach i noticed a little round plastic piece fall out. maybee 200 rounds thru her now. piece was 1/4 inch in diameter by 3/32 deep by 1 millimeter thick. anyone know what this is. seems to shoot alright still. just wonder if this is something i should be concerened about. thanx in advance and happy shooting. ken

Thank you, you just saved me from giving that a try. I have the heat shrink on now. I will report later on how long it lasts.
eddieirvine: Does your condor bolt handle have a smooth shoulder or exposed threads?

O rings wont work been there and tried that? orings big enough to slip on bolt wont fit in bolt slot. Stretched orings wont either?

For a replacement use one or two layers or “heat shrink” plastic tubing. Just cut to size, slip it on, and heat . You have a nice snug fit! I am not sure how long it will last but, seems more durable that the OEM one.
Or, if you have room…. STRETCH a very small O-ring over the shaft.
I have a new Condor that I bought here on yellow and mine has no washer so I called Air Force she said there is supposed to be one she sent me a couple and I put in on, what she sent me looks like very thin wall tubing I mean very thin in fact I will mic one it measures .014 thick OD is .250 and is .125 inches long so it is tiny. I put mine on slips on pretty easy not sure how long this will last but I have always been careful since I bought my Condor about cocking the bolt because of the aluminum frame, anyway thought I would throw that in, the problem is you can’t really have anything much bigger than what they offer because the bolt will not close down properly so any sugestions out there this would be a good place for them some kind of good lube teflon or something I am thinking would be good let me know thanks Eddie
Airforce must have changed the design of the bolt handle(cocking Knob). The bushing on mine lasted several thousand rounds and I noticed wear before it disappeared about a week ago. Seems more like a plastic coating, than a bushing now. The original bushing on mine rolled as the bolt was cycled.
The mod I made does not roll, just makes a soft buffer between the soft aluminum frame and the hard threads of the bolt handle.
There was A thread about frame wear when this happened to the threaded bolt type rifles. So I was watching mine to prevent wear on the frame, knowing what to expect? 😕
BTW YOu may want to use a good grade of lube on the bolt handle bushing or shoulder!/? I use TSI 321Synthetic drys non mineral/veg and plastic/Oring friendly. But TSI 321 will dissolve any glue. Peeled the power wheel number tape of off the power wheel.

FNG here. I have purchased two new AF rifles this year and both of them had the little black plastic piece come off within 50 or so shots. I think they changed the the handle over the years? No exposed threads on either one. I emailed AF staff and asked them, “If this was an issue please send me a replacement part”. Apparently, it’s not.
Pull cover off knob. Then unscrew bolt.
This is the plastic part that fell off… It does look like it was on the bolt handle? How do you get the bolt handle off to replace it?
Most likely came off of the bolt handle. If you see threads between the foam bolt knob and the breach. These threads will eat at the frame unless you replace that fragile bushing. The bushing I made does not fit Loose as the factory one?
I went to the Local hardware store and bought some plastic air hose about the size of a drinking straw. NOt rubber or clear but white in color. Cut with scissors and threaded plastic bushing onto bolt. Fits the bolt slot and locks the bolt in place. you may want to take the bolt handle with you to make a good fit?
I think the custom made bolt handles have a shoulder so don’t need this bushing.
If someone makes a stainless replacement bushing I would like to buy one.

No knob off. It looked like a small plastic black washer that had split and fell off.
Did you knob come off?
If it did then it is a washer the fits over the thread of the cocking knob

I just had the similar thing happen at only to rounds. Mine appeared to be some sort of plastic ring that was on the post of the cocking lever? It was a small black plastic ring that split and fell off.

Condor mine is new this year bought it from a guy but he never shot it I don’t think!! anyway there was nothing on mine and I called Air Force she sent me off a couple and I put one on like I said, and to answer your quesiton on my knob that screws on the bolt there are no threads on the top part of the threaded knob about an 1/8 of an inch or better has no threads on them Eddie
