Long range condor
Im new to PCPS, but Ill be picking up a condor in JAN.
What I wanted to know is the best mods for long range accuacyI know if its just gearing more towards power or is there someting elsetoo??
I dont really know what pushing the envalope is with these rifles 100,?120? yards?
Would like a little help in this area thanks

Rather than just any scope, you’re best getting yourself a good one. Make sure it has mildots, adjustable objective, zoom, clearity and will hold zero when changing any of the above. GTBJs answer of a “decent” scope was very valid. Not just anything will do.
really though, Jerry said it best. For beginning, a good scope and a calm day with the heaviest pellet your gun will shoot accurately (probably will be a kodiac). get comfortable with the distance on good calm days first where there are minimal variables to factor in.
Get a chrony and find out at what pressure the gun is most consistent at. only fill to that pressure and if you get serious, top off after each shotgroup or two.
Long range airgunning really is fun. Especially on a public rifle range where a well dialed in Condor is much capable of outshooting a lot of powderburners at 100yds. The looks on people’s faces when they realize you just kicked their favorite deer gun’s butt with a “bb gun” is near priceless.

I hear that lazer flat hypervelocity trajectories can be achieved with the .2gr Beeman Felt Cleaning pellets and just about eliminate holdover,

If you want to shoot really well at 100+ yards with a Condor:
1. Get a good bi-pod to go with that scope you’ve been reminded of 🙂
2. Only go shooting on days so calm you can fart and still smell it an hour later or,
3. Get really good at reading and adjusting for the breeze.
I’d recommend you get the gun tuned by Tony or follow the help provided here to get your gun running really hot. 80+ FPE with Kodiaks hot. Then email me about some 66gr slugs that will carry serious power out to 100 yards.
Ask Tofazfo what he has done to get his Condor to be good at long range.

I think all you need is practice with a Condor to shoot well at 100+ yards. Mine was mechanically stock when I got it, and was printing 2+” groups at 100 the first time I tried.
To get more oomph:
Valve mods
Extra hammer weight
Possibly heavier spring (mine is stock)
Polishing of parts/frame (careful though, dont overdo it)
I dont think there is much more you can do for power.
For better consistency:
Get a chrony and shoot over it during all testing
Adjust tophat till you find the sweetspot
If your not scared to try, experiment with different torque settings when you tighten your barrel grub screws
Find your valves desired operating pressure, and only fill to that pressure
