Long range shooting
Nebraska’s post about shooting at 125 yards with a condor inspired me to shoot past 100 yards. I was shooting as far as I can go at my house.(134 yards) The wind was not bad but still made it hard to shoot a good group.
Most groups were about this size
I caught a break in the wind and got these five shots in
Just over 2 inches! 😀
One of the coolest things about shooting that far out is when you shoot a tin can you will see it start falling before you hear the hit.

On the 80yd groups I have the front of the gun rested on a gun rest and I
have a foam pad for the rear so I can put some pressure on the bottom of
the grip for stability… Butt of the gun is on my shoulder….
I shot these in the prone position shouldered in the rear and off of the bipod.
These are @ 100yds
Are you-ins shooting using a bench vise or just hand-holding your guns?

On Sunday I hit a rabbit at…..155 yards!! 😎 (with my .22lr using hollowpoint subs’ 🙄 )

I just hit a beer bottle at 120 yards with my condor i was happy as a pig in shit. It took me a few shots to find my hold. But i hit it
yep I know what you mean Jeff I do that on my back porch did that this morning and guess what flew in actually two of them Grackles 30 yds got both of them made my day hate them nest robbin suckers
Nice groups mam! Yeah thats why I like long range shooting to, every little thing matters, and the slightest changes can make a huge difference downrange.

Same thing with me. If I shoot a bad group it just makes me want to shoot until I can get a good group.
Those groups were shot from my 27 ft lb Talon from a sitting position. I know I should really use a bench but I like to challenge myself and it’s much easy to grab my rifle, a tin of pellets, and just shoot.
Here is an 80yarder with the BSA Sportsman….
This is 9 shots @ 80yds with a 3,000psi fill and no wind. The low shot
was #9. FPS makes a big difference at 80yds.

Bottom one looks good Jeff you really have to do things right when you stretch it out to 100 + yds the more you shoot the better your groups will be I don’t know how much you shoot but last year I did quite a bit Mam inspired me 😆 anyway shot allot at 50yds until I got some really good groups and then sretched it out to 100 if you get a bad group don’t give up all the bad ones I shot made me determined to get better and you will and it depends some days I can shoot well other days I might as well be on the golf course I go there because I like to play golf and walk don’t really matter where the ball goes!
Nice tight group at the bottom Jeff…. The thing I like about long range is that
there is almost always room for improvement and it gets my mind working
on changing things to see if it helps the groups.
