Let us know how well it works … my Chrony is a couple of years old now and I am looking to get a new one this year … some dummy shot mine several times since I got it 🙄

Walter, I dont recall swapping them myself however my FIL may have. He tends to get way scientific when doing things like that. I usually just point and shoot TBH LOL.

RiffRaff, cool test.

Did you happen to swap them and retest?
if the outboard one was 5fps faster no matter which had that position that would mean they are exactly the same.
If a setup of A then B gave 5fps slower on B
then setup B then A gave anyother number then the inaccuracy would be say 1/2 teh difference or some such.

Being digital timers with good sensors there is no reason for inaccuracy.
Most digital watchs are always right.

Walter….

I shot thru 2 green chronys at the same time once, mine and my father in laws. We had them end to end, the 2nd one was within 5fps each time.

Considering we were shooting a .22-250 and .45-70’s thru them, they proved themselves to us.

Cool. Anyone ever shot a known consistent rifle through a few different chrony’s side by side? I wonder the differences.

Good choice, FYI – it works great when mounted on top of a tripod.
