Q:

Look what I got yesterday…….

It is a BSA tactical IR. It is 4X16 with parallax wheel and it has metal lens protectors that open and close with the turn of the front or rear ring..pop up turrets that lock once you have made corrections and push them back down…..James Bond stuff….Comes in a metal ammo box..really nice scope…

Well I solve that problem by putting my 24″ barrel
back on…one of the shroud baffles slides over the
barrel a little ways and centers it, so no more clipping
but I am still getting shots that fly off like 2″ at 25yds…
That is just too much….So If it isn’t the scope changing
each shot then it is either the pellets or me…..Can’t
think of anything else it could be….I’ll have more info tomorrow….Thanks for the info maw…..We’ll get it
figured out or I’ll burn this one, buy a new one and
start over….

Mamcrackin my shroud was clipping just barely and it was driving me nuts ,I was using heavy pellets then I switched to light and I was turning the elevation down cause of higher velocity, but the lighter pellets even shot lower so then I new it had to be clipping, I just turned the shroud a 1/4 of a turn and shot to see if any change occurred and the second time I did this the poi went up about 6 to 8 inches and then I sighted in and problem was solved, I was greatly happy, and can hit a dime at 30 yards now all the time, I hope you are right about your scope, but I’d try the rotation trick 1st on the shroud.

I think it is a great scope…I am having problems with
my shots floating around but I can’t say that it is the
scope. I have a Barska coming tomorrow and I will
mount it just to see if the shots are still floating or if
they become one hole accurate…..The only reason I
think it might be the scope is because I have eliminated
most everything else and need to double check the
scope to make sure it is staying zeroed….The floating
could still be the pellets not likeing the pressure I am
shooting them at but that’s another story…..
The glass is clear. the IR works great in low light with
gobs of adjustment. The paralax is right on as far as
being able to judge distances….I really have no
complaints about it unless I find that it has been
loosing adjustment….Check out the Barska…It is
on sale for $202.00…Was regular $450.00 at
Binoculars.com…..Next day shipping is only
$11-12.00 extra..Shipping is free….I’ll have
more info tomorrow I hope….
